Katrina ‘Turquotte’ Kaif forgets mentor Ayesha Shroff!

For all those who thought Salman to be Katrina’s mentor, there’s news. Well, it wasn’t Salman who introduced this sizzler to Bollywood but Ayesha Shroff, actor Jackie Shroff’s wife, who did this good deed. But then people do move on and this is what has precisely happened with Kat, for the actress seems to have forgotten her real mentor.

In a sensational interview to a news daily, Ayesha Shroff has clarified many a misconceptions about Katrina Kaif. First things first ‘Kaif’ is not Katrina’s real surname but she is Katrina Turquotte originally. “Katrina had an English surname, which was not easy to pronounce. She is not Katrina Kaif originally. She is Katrina Turquotte. We wanted to give her a surname which would be accepted by the Indian audience. First we thought of naming her Katrina Kazi, but then we thought Kazi would have a religious overtone. So we thought of Kaif”, says a placid Ayesha.

When asked about Katrina’s Kashmiri father being the reason for her surname being ‘Kaif’, Ayesha exclaimed “If that’s what she says, you have to believe her. Her name on her passport that time was Katrina Turquotte.”

Well, wonder if the truth is actually what it really seems like, then what’s keeping Kat from opening her mouth for these aren’t things that can be hidden for a long time. What’s even stranger is the fact that Kat has forgotten her mentor too! On an enquiry about whether her discovery Katrina was in touch with her, Jackie’s wife said, “Not really. We met at a party once and just greeted each other.”

Now, this was indeed a revelation, wasn’t it Miss Katrina ‘Turquotte’?

Newton`s regrets over early romance with director John Duigan as a teen

Thandie Newton reportedly regrets starting her career at a young age, and getting into a troubled relationship with director John Duigan as a teen.

The actress flew to Australia at the age of 16 for filming her debut movie ‘Flirting’ in 1991, and, shortly afterwards, began a turbulent six-year romance with the director of the film, then 39.

However, now after recently working with schoolgirls at Oprah Winfrey`s Leadership Academy in South Africa, Newton realised how young she was when she started her love affair with Duigan.

And the ‘Crash’ star still wonders how the filmmaker could have dated someone so "vulnerable".

"I was 16. I didn`t tell my parents about it (the relationship) but really young people who are vulnerable have to be looked out for. I`ve just been out to South Africa to Oprah`s Leadership Academy. It educates girls from impoverished backgrounds and I was taking part in an arts week,” The Daily Express quoted her as saying.

She added: "I looked at the 16-year-old girls there. How can it possibly be right to start a serious relationship with someone that age when you are so much older? I`ve been through a lot of therapy so I sort of know why people do things now."

Winehouse’s Miami trip may unite her and Fielder-Civil

British singer Amy Winehouse’s trip to Miami has reportedly sparked rumours that she might reunite with ex-hubby Blake Fielder-Civil.

Winehouse is going to Miami to finish off her third album and she will be working with Florida based producer Salaam Remi.

But friends are uncomfortable about the singer meeting up with ex-hubby Blake.

The Sun quoted a source as saying: "Amy is looking forward to getting out to Miami again to finish the album with Salaam, as he was so good on Back To Black.

"It`s a place that means a lot to her and could really provide some inspiration for new material.

"All her friends are worried though. She has mentioned she might meet Blake when he leaves rehab in Sheffield.”

"Even more worrying is the fact that she has been feeling broody. That would be the ultimate disaster - the spawn of Fielder-Civil…Her dad Mitch is going ballistic about rumblings of a reunion," the source added.
