Madonna joins Israeli PM for Jewish Sabbath celebrations



Madonna reportedly joined Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his family to celebrate the Jewish Sabbath.

The Queen of Pop, who arrived in the country for two concerts as part of her ‘Sticky & Sweet’ world tour, purportedly witnessed the traditional Friday evening ritual with the leader.

The singer was said to have spent two hours at the politician’s home, lighting candles and delivering blessings, reports a news website.

Madonna apparently shares a special bond with the Jewish state as she’s a devout follower of Jewish mysticism Kabbalah.

She was previously reported to have taken on a Hebrew name, Esther, and made private pilgrimages in 2004 and 2007.

Britney gives in to smoke cravings in Miami



Britney Spears was said to have given in to her nicotine cravings, for the singer was spotted smoking in Miami.The pop princess was seen puffing on her hotel balcony during a break from her ‘Circus’ tour.

Britney has been showing off her toned body, thanks to her abstinence from ‘greasy takeaway food and fatty Starbucks’, reports the Sun.

The mum-of-two, who previously suffered a series of emotional meltdowns, has also resorted to an improved diet and frequent workouts.

Chris Brown`s mum "loves Rihanna like a daughter"



Chris Brown`s mother Joyce Hawkins misses his ex-girlfriend Rihanna and wishes to see her.

Hawkins hasn`t seen Rihanna after her son assaulted the Umbrella singer in February this year.

A news website quoted Hawkins as saying: "I love Rihanna. She`s like a daughter. She became family to us. She`s spent Christmas with us for the last two years. I miss her a lot."

Chris attacked Rihanna in his car as they left a pre-Grammy Awards party.

He later pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to six months of community service, 12 months of domestic violence counselling and five years probation.

Selena Gomez made UNICEF Ambassador



Teen star Selena Gomez has been appointed an ambassador of the United Nations Children`s Fund.

The `Wizards of Waiverly Place` star joined forces with UNICEF last year, speaking out on issues such as children`s rights, and now she has been rewarded for her efforts after being named as the official representative of the charitable cause, Contactmusic reported.

A thrilled and honoured Gomez is determined to use her fame to make a difference.

"Every day, 25,000 children die from preventable causes. I stand with UNICEF in the belief that we can change that number from 25,000 to zero," Gomez said.

"(She has) now taken on an official role as an ambassador. She will be involved in educating, advocating, and fund raising," Gomez`s representative added.

Her first mission as a UNICEF ambassador will see Gomez visit Ghana, where she will learn about the organisation`s child survival programmes.
