Katona ‘sniffed up more coke after drug video went public’

Drug shamed Kerry Katona indulged herself in more cocaine after learning that her shocking snorting video was made public, it has emerged.

It is reported that Katona was sniffing up more cocaine and repeating, "I`ve lost everything. I`m going to lose my kids - the lot!"

The News of the World quoted an insider as saying: "It`s unbelievable, but she was still taking cocaine to try to numb the pain, even after she was rumbled. All she wanted to do was get completely out of her mind.

"She was crying and saying she was going to lose her advert contract with Iceland and was terrified her ex, Brian McFadden, would get custody of their daughters Molly and Lilly-Sue.

"And she kept repeating how social services would take away her youngest two, Heidi and Max. But never, at any stage, did she say she was actually going to DO something about her problem and STOP taking the cocaine.

"It was the opposite, she was just wanting to get more and more drugs to get wasted. She was up all night Saturday (after the a news website told her about the video) and couldn`t string a sentence together by Sunday lunchtime, she was a total mess.

"And her husband Mark kept whining over and over, `We`ve lost the f***ing lot, Kez!` And he was taking cocaine, too. He`s no better than her."

Katona has publicly admitted her fear of losing her children after she returned from a holiday in Tenerife.

Katona said, "I`ve let my children down. I`m so sorry and so ashamed. I know I let everyone down - my fans, my family and people I work with."

She also said her latest cocaine snort was "a moment of weakness" due to hubby Mark’s escapades with strippers in Majorca.

"I did it because I was very unhappy at the time and thought it might make me feel better about myself," she added.

Birth of a dream

Conquering the world with her beauty hadn’t always been Ekta’s dream. The sexy lass has revealed that she started dreaming of becoming the most beautiful woman of the world when she watched Sushmita Sen win the Miss Universe crown in 1994.

With the right blend of perfect attitude, beauty and wits, Ekta has raised the hopes of the entire nation. Proud of representing an entire nation at the pageant, Ekta says, “It’s a huge responsibility as I am representing India on an international stage. And if I am crowned Miss Universe, I will be representing the whole world. It feels great, very exciting.”

Where looks matter

She has already stunned everyone by looking hot and happening in a white-blue two-piece; during the bikini round of the competition. Ekta, however, hasn’t been too happy about the way India reacted to her bikini show. She says, “It’s not an easy task to attain a fit body. In India, a large number of people fail to maintain a good physique, until they start starving themselves. I think that’s the main reason why it’s a big deal to wear bikinis back home."

A confident Ekta completely believes in her actions and says, “I wore a swimsuit in front of 10,000 people here, but I didn’t feel conscious about it. It’s not about how many clothes you wear; it’s about how you carry yourself. It’s not about your attire but about your attitude. Girls here carry bikinis with the same elegance as when they are wearing a gown. In Bahamas, you can’t expect us to be covered from head to toe, it’s quite hot here.”

Standing tall and beautiful at 5`9.5", Ekta is all set to fight it out on the D-day for Miss Universe 2009 crown on the basis of her strong intellect, elegance, confidence and above all, faith in herself. Often a candidate has lost because she did not have a good answer during the question-answer round, which is why Ekta has specifically been asked by her family and friends to be really calm and smart while dealing with the questions, when twelve globally renowned judges will weigh her answers.

Venezuelan beauty Dayana Mendoza, Miss Universe 2008, will crown her successor at the conclusion of the contest. Also, Heidi Montag will be seen taking the stage at the event, along with Claudia Jordan, Flo Rida, Kelly Rowland and DJ David Guetta.

Let’s see if Ekta follows Sush and Lara

In 1994, the gorgeous Sushmita Sen brought home the coveted crown, becoming the most popular Miss Universe from India. Her rival in the Miss India pageant, Aishwarya Rai, won the Miss World title.

In 2000, India again won the Miss Universe pageant when Lara Dutta won the crown. That year was pretty lucky for India as Priyanka Chopra and Dia Mirza also won their respective Miss World and Miss Asia Pacific crowns, making it a rare record.

Now, Shah Rukh does the longest guest appearance in a film

Bollywood’s King Khan is known to do things differently and looks like he followed that very principle when he signed on the dotted line to do a guest appearance in Viveck Vaswani’s ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’. The actor will reportedly be seen in, perhaps, the longest guest appearance ever in the history of Indian cinema.

According to reports, Shah Rukh, who was initially asked to do a guest appearance in ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ ended up doing almost an hour long role in the same, making his part in the flick - the longest guest appearance by any star in a Bollywood film.

There have been reports in the past that have indicated towards SRK being miffed with Vaswani in context to his ever increasing role in the film in question since Khan had signed the flick in lieu of his friendship with Vaswani without realising that it could become a never ending thing for him.

In the meanwhile, Viveck Vaswani has refuted the reports of SRK being unhappy with him and to clarify the same. He said, “We have not added or subtracted any scenes with SRK. We have shot exactly what was narrated to him. He has about 17 scenes and three songs, and among the three, one is his entry sequence. We still have to shoot the music video with him with the entire cast. However, ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ is not a professional assignment for SRK. He has done it as a favour to a friend, hence he is getting billed in a guest appearance as that’s the ethical thing to do. Had he charged me, then the equation would have been that of a producer and actor.”

Well, for now we can perhaps just wait and watch for the flick to release or Shah Rukh to open up on the same.

`Kaminey` takes Indian cinema beyond Tarantino, says Shekhar Kapur

Internationally acclaimed Indian filmmaker Shekhar Kapur is quite impressed with Vishal Bharadwaj`s "Kaminey" and says the film "catapults Indian cinema in modernity beyond (Quentin) Tarantino".

"The greatest thing about Vishal Bharadwaj`s `Kaminey` is that you cannot work out why it is working. You cannot work out why you are laughing amidst the ugliness of violence in perhaps India`s first real dark comedy. And why in the final moments of the film with the brilliant background song by Vishal himself, you finally get the point of the film," Kapur posted on his blog www.shekharkapur.com.

"With violence all around you, you sense innocence caught in the crossfire of unnecessary violence. And finally you come away with a great sense of the pointlessness of it all. It`s terrific... Vishal better think hard about how to surpass this one," he added.

A thoughtful director himself, Kapur further praised the technical aspects of the film that has Shahid Kapoor in a double role.

"The cinematography (by Tassaduq Hussain) is great as are some of the performances, the script and the editing. It is ultimately a director`s brilliant vision of the world that is playing through," he said.

The 63-year-old, however, didn`t seem to be too impressed with Bharadwaj`s idea of making the lead characters lisp and stammer in the film.

"Did Vishal have to use the idea of stuttering and stammering with the main character though? It was a little over done and the only thing that harked to a more traditional form of comedy in Indian films. The film could have done with a little less of that," he wrote.

"Kaminey" is Bharadwaj`s first commercial hit. It earned about Rs 330 million in its first weekend at the box office.
