The Bengali beauty said about her much-acclaimed Bangla flick ‘Sab Choritra Kalponik’, “He falls asleep in every film. That’s why I don’t take him for friends’ premieres. It could get very embarrassing. How will he sit through my Bengali film for two hours when he can’t follow a word of Bengali?”

Bipasha has just returned from London, but not without giving John a big shopping list of the things she wants for her new home.

In London, John Abraham is shooting for Abbas Tyrewala’s film. “He was shooting at nights. In between, he went to the US for a film festival where ‘Dostana’ was screened. Then he returned again to shoot. All he does is shoot, gym and sleep,” Bips said.

She added, “The weather is superb at this time of the year. The home-equipment stores in London are to die for. The only thing that I really did was shop, and it’s really not over. I’ve given John a list of things to buy and bring back from London. They’re precious knick-knacks.”

Kareena had become a support system, admits Shahid

Not very often can you have Shahid Kapur discussing his much-talked about relationship with Kareena Kapoor. But this time, quite unexpectedly, Shahid has revealed all about the kind of pressure he felt while he was dating Bebo!

Shahid Kapur says that as he started seeing Kareena, who was much more established than him at that time, he knew that his stature would become an issue with the couple.

Talking about his love relationship with Kareena, on TV chat show ‘Tere Mere Beach Mein’, Shahid said, “Itna reality check tha mujhe ki she was Raj Kapoor’s grand-daughter, her sister was Karisma Kapoor. I had danced behind Karisma in ‘Dil to Pagal Hai’. I knew ki yeh tho issue hone wala hai ... mujhe itni akal thi.”

When host of the show, Farah Khan, asked if there were pressures on the relationship after his films flopped, the actor didn’t shy away from saying, “She had become my support system, yaar. I think emotionally she had become my support system to aisa koi chance nahin tha ... yeh life mein real cheezein toh relationships hi hoti hain, success failure sab kab aata hai, kab jaata hai pata bhi nahin chalta hai. Relationships aisi cheez hai, they stand by you with time so you have to give priority to your relationship.”

Well, for poor Shahid, his alleged love relationships do not seem to be standing by him at all!

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif may insist that she takes professional decisions independent of boyfriend, superstar Salman Khan, but it is clear that his opinion matters as she has declared that she will not work with Vivek Oberoi."I would not work with Vivek anyway," the 25-year-old actress told reporters when asked about the actor, who had a head line grabbing public feud with Salman in 2003.

Oberoi had alleged in a press conference that the 43-year-old actor harassed him and sent him death threats, over his relationship with Salman`s ex-girlfriend, Aishwarya Rai.

However, Katrina hurriedly added that she takes her own decisions and denied that they were influenced by Salman.

The actress whose recent movie `New York` was well-received by the audience and critics alike, thanked God and people who supported her for the success she has achieved.

Sonam Kapoor takes up social causes

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor on Saturday was made the brand ambassador of a fund-raiser organised by NGO Khushii that will spread awareness about various causes like health care and child welfare. She said that she was "just the face" of the cause and everyone should do their bit.

"I am honoured to be associated with NGO Khushii (for the fund raising event `Flight of Joy`) and I appreciate the work they are doing for the welfare of people in different fields. I believe each one of us should come forward and support this event," Kapoor told reporters at a press conference here Saturday.

"It is not just about me, it is about everyone. No matter how much you contribute, but you all should contribute. I am just a face and can appeal to everyone to do their bit. It has to be a collective effort and we all should chip in," she added.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni was also present at the event.

"A moment of giving is much greater than a moment of receiving," Soni maintained.

Throughout this fund raising event, the NGO will spread awareness about various causes related to women, child welfare, health care, primary education, animals and environment. It will also give financial aid to other NGOs who are unable to raise funds for their organisations.

The fund-raiser will take place during the `Joy of Giving` week Sep 27-Oct 2, when a combination of events and exhibitions will allow every citizen to contribute in their own way.

A balloon flying event will also be held on the lawns of India Gate Oct 11 where eminent personalities from different walks of life will support the event.

Old friends Kareena and Tusshar go for a cute outing

Kareena Kapoor and Tusshar Kapoor’s friendship is still going strong. Few years back, the duo made news with their runaway hit ‘Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai’ and was termed as a cute couple.

Lohan`s dad apologises to Samantha Ronson

Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan`s father who has been openly critical of his daughter`s relationship with Samantha Ronson, has now apologised to the celebrity DJ for his scathing comments.Michael Lohan spent much of last year furiously slamming Ronson, accusing her of using Lohan to further her own career and claimed that she had got the `Mean Girls` star back on alcohol, the Sun reported.

But Michael has made a U-turn by saying that Ronson is a positive influence in the 23-year-old actress` life.

Ex-McFadden to fight for kids’ custody with drug scandal-hit Katona

Former Westlife singer Brian McFadden has said that he’ll fight for custody of his kids with ex-wife Kerry Katona, following the knowledge of her addiction to drugs."I’ll fight to get custody of my kids and bring them to Ireland," the Sun quoted him as saying.

Katona was recently caught snorting drugs at her Cheshire home and was also given a police caution for assaulting her accountant.

Brian told TV host Ryan Tubridy: "It is manic. Kerry’s also just got arrested."

The Irish singer is presently in Australia with his fiancée Delta Goodrem but plans to return to his country if he gets his kids back.

He said: "If I get full custody of the kids, I will be coming back to Ireland."

But before anyone confirms, you already have the full story in place and no mention of any version. Lily Allen grateful to get back kidnapped pal

Lily Allen has revealed that she is grateful to have her friend back after a “terrifying” kidnap plot.

Three men were held guilty of demanding 90,000 pounds ransom in return for the return of two shopworkers, one of them a friend of the star.

The victims were taken away at gunpoint from a sports shop in London last year and held captive for more than a week, reports a news daily.

A relieved Lily turned to the Internet to express her relief after the rescue.

The 24-year-old wrote on her blog: “Thank you for getting my friend back, we were terrified.”

Three other London men had already confessed to their part in the plot and are due to be sentenced next month.

Hugh Hefner’s ex-girlfriend Bridget Marquardt has said that her new house is just like the Playboy Mansion.

Selena Gomez made UNICEF Ambassador

Teen star Selena Gomez has been appointed an ambassador of the United Nations Children`s Fund.

The `Wizards of Waiverly Place` star joined forces with UNICEF last year, speaking out on issues such as children`s rights, and now she has been rewarded for her efforts after being named as the official representative of the charitable cause, Contactmusic reported.

A thrilled and honoured Gomez is determined to use her fame to make a difference.

"Every day, 25,000 children die from preventable causes. I stand with UNICEF in the belief that we can change that number from 25,000 to zero," Gomez said.

"(She has) now taken on an official role as an ambassador. She will be involved in educating, advocating, and fund raising," Gomez`s representative added.

Her first mission as a UNICEF ambassador will see Gomez visit Ghana, where she will learn about the organisation`s child survival programmes.
