Lindsay Lohan believes in "karma"

Welcoming Lindsay Lohan`s belief in `karma`, Hindus have urged her to further explore the rich philosophical thought of Hinduism.

Lohan recently wrote on social networking service `twitter`: "I`m all about Karma.. what goes around comes around!"

Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA), said that `karma`, the web of cause and effect and the rule of universal causality resulting from action, was first commented in ancient Satapatha Brahmana, and forms one of the basic principles of Hindu philosophy. The sum total of one`s actions, desires, feelings, and thoughts form one`s karma, which is a cosmic law of debit and credit for good and evil.

Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, also urged Lohan to visit a nearby Hindu temple to have firsthand experience of Hinduism.

He offered to supply a set of Hindu scriptures to Lohan to help her in comprehensive understanding of its philosophy.

If Lohan needed any assistance in her study of Hinduism, he or other Hindu scholars would be glad to share their knowledge or arrange the appropriate expertise, Zed added.

Lohan`s dad apologises to Samantha Ronson

Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan`s father who has been openly critical of his daughter`s relationship with Samantha Ronson, has now apologised to the celebrity DJ for his scathing comments.Michael Lohan spent much of last year furiously slamming Ronson, accusing her of using Lohan to further her own career and claimed that she had got the `Mean Girls` star back on alcohol, the Sun reported.

But Michael has made a U-turn by saying that Ronson is a positive influence in the 23-year-old actress` life.

"I want to say I`m sorry for anything negative I said about Sam. It was totally off-colour. I appreciate that she cares about Lindsay`s health and well-being. I really see Sam in a whole different light now, " Lohan`s father said.

The actress who is now trying to revive her Hollywood career which was derailed by her drugs and alcohol lifestyle, has had an on and off relationship with 32-year-old Ronson for the past one year.

Lindsay Lohan to swap acting for a career behind the camera

American film actress Lindsay Lohan is planning to try her luck as a television producer.The ‘Mean Girls’ star is said to find producing TV programmes more interesting than acting.

"I`ve been creating a bunch of shows that I`ve written treatments for and that I`m going to be producing," Contactmusic quoted her as having told US TV show ‘Extra’.

Lindsay has fallen out of favour with movie executives in recent years, and failed to land a major film role since 2007``s ‘Georgia Rule’.

To get her career back on track, she is suggested to be turning her hand to producing TV programmes.

Lohan in trouble over borrowed lost jewellery

Singer-actress Lindsay Lohan could face legal action after claims that she lost $1.9 million worth of borrowed jewels.

The 23-year-old was loaned the bling by swanky Beverly Hills store XIV Karats more than two months ago. But when bosses asked her to return the gems, she admitted that they had been nicked, according to US reports.

Lohan`s Hollywood Hills home was burgled last weekend, with thieves making off with a safe as well as handbags, photos and videos, reports thesun.co.uk.

"Lindsay claimed they had been stolen. They disappeared. XIV are not happy about it. The jewels were in Lindsay`s care and they were only on loan. If something is not resolved soon, there will be legal action taken," a source told a US website.

But Lohan`s representative denied the report.

This is not the first time that Lohan has lost expensive jewellery. In June, Christian Dior jewels worth $406,400 vanished at a London photoshoot with Lohan.

Lindsay Lohan patches up with dad

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan seems to have finally patched up with her daddy dearest, as the duo was spotted shopping in California.

The `Mean Girls` star had suffered criticism from father Michael earlier, but seems to have made peace with him now that he has decided to help her out with the house burglary case, reported Contactmusic.

The 23-year-old star has had a rocky relation with her father ever since Michael split from Lohan`s mother Dina and his subsequent spell in jail after crashing his car while drunk.

Lindsay Lohan facing legal trouble over stolen jewellery

Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan has been accused of not returning USD 2 million worth of jewels by a store, which has now threatened legal action against the starlet.

The `Mean Girls` actress has reportedly told the bosses of XIV Karats, who had loaned the jewels to her, that the gems were stolen from her safe when her house was burgled last week, Radar Online reported.

"They`ve disappeared. XIV are not happy about it. The jewels were in Lindsay`s care and they were only on a loaner, they were expected to be returned. If something is not resolved soon there will be legal action taken," a source said.

Lohan is not new to missing jewellery scandals as she was linked to gems stolen from a photo shoot for `Elle` magazine in Britain earlier this summer but which was later dismissed as a false report.

"Lindsay didn`t take anything from them. They lent her jewelry and she has to give it back to them. That`s all I know. She has no intention of keeping any of it. So I guess they`re sorting it out," Lohan`s father Michael Lohan had said.

LAPD looking for 3 suspects in Lohan burglary

Police are looking for three suspects in the burglary of Lindsay Lohan`s home.The Los Angeles Police Department has released surveillance camera footage of the Sunday break-in at the "Mean Girls" star`s house. The footage shows three people, whose faces are covered with scarves, walking through a gate at Lohan`s Hollywood Hills home and entering a courtyard at around 1:10 a.m.

LAPD detectives believe the suspects — one male and two females, all 18 to 25 years old — entered the house through an unlocked door, then ransacked it and took property.

Lohan`s spokeswoman, Leslie Sloane-Zelnik, said the break-in happened Sunday while the actress and her younger sister were away. Sloane-Zelnik said many of Lohan`s "personal belongings were taken without remorse."

Lohan posted on Twitter she didn`t think it was a robbery because "things that a certain old friend knew meant a lot to me" were taken.

Police probe burglary at Lindsay Lohan`s LA home

Police were called for the second time in three months to the Hollywood Hills home of actress Lindsay Lohan on Sunday to investigate a burglary there.

No one was home during the break-in, which Lohan discovered after the fact, according to an officer at the Los Angeles Police Department`s Hollywood station. He gave no other details except to say that no arrests had been made.

A statement from the performer`s publicist, Leslie Sloane, said "many of (Lohan`s) personal belongings were taken without remorse" in the break-in, which police said was reported at about 6:30 a.m. local time.

The celebrity news website TMZ.com reported that the actress found things amiss after coming home at about 3 a.m. and called her father, Michael Lohan, who called police.

He told TMZ that a safe was ripped off a wall in the home and that a couple of watches were taken, and that he believes the theft was "an inside job" because employees for his daughter had failed to turn on the house burglar alarm.

"I`m not going to put up with individuals violating my family," the father was quoted as saying. "This is a personal violation and it has got to stop."

TMZ also cited an unnamed source as saying three men can be seen in a surveillance video breaking into Lohan`s home. Sloane said the house has a surveillance system as that "police are in custody of the footage."

Lohan`s mother, Dina, told People magazine`s website that a door was found off its hinges with handles removed. "Bags, shoes and jewelry were taken, too," she said. "Thank God she wasn`t home." She said Lohan already was planning to move to "a safer place."

A previous burglary attempt was reported there in May, police said. According to TMZ the suspects in that incident apparently were frightened off by the alarm, but not before intruders were captured on videotape trying to gain entry.

A number of media reports at the time quoted police as saying officers initially thought the house had been ransacked but determined that the place was just messy.

The 23-year-old actress has sought lately to rebuild her career after a string of high-profile personal problems that included a 2007 conviction for drunken driving and cocaine possession. Last month, she starred in a ABC Family television movie and launched a new TV and film production company with her fashion-line partner.

Lindsay’s attention dilemma

Actress Lindsay Lohan seems puzzled over whether to seek media attention or not.

The ‘Mean Girls’ star had written on her Twitter page that she`d be shopping at Ina on Prince Street a day before.

But after finding a pack of paparazzi outside the store the next day, the actress tried to avoid them, reports a news daily.

Actress Lindsay Lohan needs to watch out as singer Aubrey O`Day has her eyes on the star`s girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

Pop singer and reality TV star O`Day has revealed that she has a huge crush on the DJ and believes that two would be "perfect together".

"Every time I see her (Ronson) I want to go over and talk to her, but it`s like she`s going to be like, `You`re that girl that tried to say you`re gay everywhere,` and I`m like, `No, I promise get to know me. The former `Danity Kane` member has taken a potshot at Lohan for all the negative publicity their affair has got. O`day thinks she can keep Ronson more happy than Lohan, giving her the romance she craves for.

"Lindsay and that relationship made it such a joke. It was just, like, on every cover, on every tabloid. Their relationship has been her job for the past year," said the 25-year-old `Bad Girl` singer.

"You just can`t live up to that entire Disneyland circus that went on in your relationship," she added.
