Jessica Simpson puts curse on ex-boyfriend

Actress-singer Jessica Simpson got in touch with a woman on the Internet and attempted to put a curse on her ex-boyfriend, American football star Tony Romo.

"Jessica is normally a really sweet girl, but she still believes that Tony callously dumped her," contactmusic.com quoted a source as saying.

"She found a woman in California. The two met at Simpson`s Beverly Hills home where they lit a candle, burned some incense and performed a couple of incantations," he added.

Simpson was dumped by the American football star the night before her 29th birthday last month and after the break up she met the woman on the Internet and paid her to put a curse on Romo to ruin his chances of falling in love again.

FIR filed against `Kaminey` director, producer

A first information report (FIR) was filed Monday against the director and producer of "Kaminey" for allegedly denigrating Lord Jagannath in the film.

The FIR has been filed by Jagannath Sena Sangathan at a police station in Puri alleging that Lord Jagannath has been shown in poor light in the just released movie, which is directed by Vishal Bharadwaj and produced by UTV Motion Pictures Ltd.

"Jagannath has been shown in poor light in the movie. In a scene, it has been written `Apna Hath Jagannath` in the toilet with a semi-clad model under the writing. It has hurt the sentiments of Jagannath devotees," said Somnath Khuntia, a member of the Sangathan.

The Sangathan also protested in Puri and submitted a memorandum before the state governor through the district collector.

"An FIR has been filed in the police station saying that some scenes in `Kaminey` have hurt religious sentiments. We have lodged a case and investigating the matter," said Sudhakar Sahu, incharge of Puri town police station.

The objectionable portion has reportedly been edited out from the prints released in the state.

Why was Vidya Balan missing from Cambridge?

Vidya Balan may look sober and contained but she can be wild at times. Recently the actress went missing after wrapping up the shoot of Balki’s Amitabh-Abhishek starrer ‘Paa’ in Cambridge.

Talking about the incident to a news daily, Vidya said, “I just couldn’t help it. Just being in Cambridge shooting was not enough. I felt a deep connect with the campus and the environment. I just wanted to walk around the campus with books in hand so I’d look like a student”.

Vidya found a nice place to stay over. “Luckily I’ve a friend in Cambridge. I stayed with her and her husband. It was the most enriching experience of my life. Just the air and the feel of the place is so special,” she said.

After the incident, Vidya hopes to buy herself a similar haven in Mumbai. “I can’t afford a place in Cambridge. But I know of a place near Mumbai that offers the same climate and topography. But I am not revealing it.”

Amy Winehouse wants to reunite with ex-husband

Amy Winehouse has confessed that she wants to be reunited with Blake Fielder Civil.

She appeared at a private show with magician Dynamo in Chelmsford, during the star-studded V Festival, where she held up an ace card and broke down.

“You see this ace card right here, this one is for me and Blake. It’s our lucky card. He’s my man. We can make it. We’re so strong together,” the Mirror quoted her as saying.

However, her bodyguards stepped in to cut her short.

She said: “I’m so embarrassed, I love him though. I’ve said too much haven’t I? I’ve ruined the night.”

Gwyneth Paltrow splurges on 33-room superhouse

They might just be a family of four, but supercouple `Coldplay` frontman Chris Martin and Hollywood beauty Gwyneth Paltrow have decided to expand their London home into a 33-room mansion.

The Oscar winning actress got the idea from best friend Madonna and has brought the two properties adjoining their London home,to create a mansion worth 7 million pounds, reported Daily Mail online.

Martin, 32, had bought their current home for 2.5 million pounds from Kate Winslet in 2004. But with the expansion plans, they now plan to have a bigger garden for their two children, 5-year-old Apple and 3-year-old son Moses, as well as a new gym.

Paltrow, 36, married Martin in 2003 and they are said to be worth a combined USD 45 million.

The A-list couple have succeeded in keeping their relationship low profile and have avoided public appearances together.

The couple also owns multi-million mansions in Spain and New York.

Saif Ali Khan talks about his fluttering heart in ‘Dil Titli’ ad

Saif Ali Khan, who is riding high on popularity charts after the runaway success of home production ‘Love Aaj Kal’, created quite a stir when he appeared all of a sudden in the newspapers looking for a mystery girl. But as it turned out, the entire exercise was for an ad campaign that featured girlfriend Kareena Kapoor also. Saif, who was skeptical about the ad, “I was concerned about my ad with Kareena.”

The theme of the ad was rather flimsy as Saif had to ditch his missing childhood girlfriend in favour of latest crush Kareena, but it turned out well. "Well, honestly speaking, I was a little concerned at first. I was wondering if this entire ad in the newspaper with me hunting for a missing girl could perhaps look unnecessarily sensational. However, once I saw the copy before it went for print, I was reassured that we were on the right track," Saif said to a news daily.

The actor further confessed, "True, I was worried that it should not look shallow that a guy forgets his childhood love in a matter of just a second", says Saif who is currently out of India on a vacation, "But then once the creative aspects of the ad were explained to me, I trusted them. Thankfully, it seems all has turned out well eventually."

Penelope Cruz has said that she does not really care if she is looking bad in a film, as long as it fits the character she is playing.She told Britain`s The Times newspaper: "I am never concerned if I have to look bad. I don`t care if I look good. You do whatever is necessary to give the character what it needs. It`s important not to be selfish.

"You get used to looking at yourself. I make sure I am a piece of clay and give whatever that character needs inside and outside. I have a physique that can change and transform."

Aaron Carter, younger brother of Backstreet Boy Nick, is keen to date an older woman and Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston tops his list.

MJ had mapped out his life’s next chapter: Nephew

Michael Jackson`s nephew Taj has said that the King of Pop had mapped out the next chapter of his life.Tito Jackson’s son said that his uncle was looking forward to the London concerts and planning a movie career ahead.

"He had his next chapter mapped out. He wanted to do this (tour) and get on to the next chapter. The last words he said to me were, `We`re gong to do film after this,`" the Daily Star quoted him as saying.

The former 3T singer took to the stand while testifying in the planned King of Pop memorabilia tour lawsuit, in a bid to back his grandmother Katherine``s opposition to the deal.

He also added that he was against burying the icon at Neverland Ranch as the star came to "hate" the estate following his 2005 child molestation trial.

He said: "Neverland was never an option to us. It brought so much pain to him."

`Twilight` stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are reportedly looking for a house to move in together.

They are apparently sharing a hotel suite right now and plan to buy a home as soon as they finish shooting, Eclipse, the third film from the vampire series in Vancouver, Canada.

"It was only a matter of time. They`re a perfect match on and off screen, so they are right to trust their instincts and give this a proper shot," Contactmusic quoted Gordon Rael, a friend of the pair as telling New Weekly.

However, Pattinson’s family may still be unaware.

Aussie singer Peter Andre has decided to launch a legal battle for the custody of his kids after sordid “porn pics” emerged of Kate Price’s new man Alex Reid.According to the sources, the ‘Mysterious Girl’ singer taking advice on custody after being shocked by the violent pictures of Jordan’s new man.

`Harry Potter` stars Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton were seen cheering side by side at `The Oval` recently.

The two actors, who are rivals in the wizard films, are said to have enjoyed the game immensely, reports the Sun.

Radcliffe, 20, revealed that he loved the romance and history of the game, and that his favourite player Paul Collingwood made batting “look like trench warfare”.

MJ’s kids ‘set to go to school for the first time’

Michael Jackson`s three children, who were taught at home until the King Of Pop’s death, may soon join school, it has emerged.

The kids’ guardian, grandmother Katherine Jackson is reportedly “seriously considering" getting them admitted into an elite private school in Los Angeles.

And it could be The Buckley school, as it is near by the Jackson family home in Encino and has tight security, reports the Sun.

Katherine was awarded custody of the children- Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket, seven- after Jackson died of alleged heart attack on June 25 this year.

Police probe burglary at Lindsay Lohan`s LA home

Police were called for the second time in three months to the Hollywood Hills home of actress Lindsay Lohan on Sunday to investigate a burglary there.

No one was home during the break-in, which Lohan discovered after the fact, according to an officer at the Los Angeles Police Department`s Hollywood station. He gave no other details except to say that no arrests had been made.

A statement from the performer`s publicist, Leslie Sloane, said "many of (Lohan`s) personal belongings were taken without remorse" in the break-in, which police said was reported at about 6:30 a.m. local time.

The celebrity news website TMZ.com reported that the actress found things amiss after coming home at about 3 a.m. and called her father, Michael Lohan, who called police.

He told TMZ that a safe was ripped off a wall in the home and that a couple of watches were taken, and that he believes the theft was "an inside job" because employees for his daughter had failed to turn on the house burglar alarm.

"I`m not going to put up with individuals violating my family," the father was quoted as saying. "This is a personal violation and it has got to stop."

TMZ also cited an unnamed source as saying three men can be seen in a surveillance video breaking into Lohan`s home. Sloane said the house has a surveillance system as that "police are in custody of the footage."

Lohan`s mother, Dina, told People magazine`s website that a door was found off its hinges with handles removed. "Bags, shoes and jewelry were taken, too," she said. "Thank God she wasn`t home." She said Lohan already was planning to move to "a safer place."

A previous burglary attempt was reported there in May, police said. According to TMZ the suspects in that incident apparently were frightened off by the alarm, but not before intruders were captured on videotape trying to gain entry.

A number of media reports at the time quoted police as saying officers initially thought the house had been ransacked but determined that the place was just messy.

The 23-year-old actress has sought lately to rebuild her career after a string of high-profile personal problems that included a 2007 conviction for drunken driving and cocaine possession. Last month, she starred in a ABC Family television movie and launched a new TV and film production company with her fashion-line partner.

Lester did donate sperm to MJ, confirms doc pal

Michael Jackson did receive sperm from former child star Mark Lester as he tried of a second child, the British doctor that the late King of Pop tried to hire as his personal physician has confirmed.

Dr Susan Etok, a long-time consultant to Jackson, backs ‘Oliver!’ star Lester’s claim that he could be the biological father of Jackson`s daughter Paris.

He has revealed that Lester was among the sperm donors Michael used to impregnate his second wife Debbie Rowe.

"Michael really like the fact that he (Lester) had good genes," Contactmusic quoted Dr Etok as having told new show Entertainment Tonight.

The ‘Thriller’ star repeatedly dismissed reports he was not the biological father of all three of his children—Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II.

Lester, however, told America`s Today show: "Michael was very shy when it came to women and he confided in me that he had found it very difficult to do the sexual act. I just jokingly said, ``Well look, Michael, if you don`t wanna do it, maybe I`ll do it for you.``"

Lester even flew to the US with his 15-year-old daughter Harriet last week to show off the resemblance between her and Paris.

A French chateau for Pitt and Jolie - for 45 mn pounds!

Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are spending 45 million pounds transforming a French chateau into a dream home for themselves and their six children.

The pair have completed the purchase of the 35 million pound 17th-century Chateau Miraval, set on a 1,000-acre estate in Provence and now they plan to splash out 10 million pounds more turning the pile into the "love nest of all love nests", reports a news website.

They have applied to renovate all 35 bedrooms to give them a "contemporary feel" and want to add jacuzzis, steam rooms and a spa, and to install a new gym, an expanded wine cellar - and even a motorbike track for Pitt, 45.

They also plan to improve its helicopter landing facilities, so they can fly in and out with their children - Maddox, seven, Pax, five, four-year old Zahara, and biological daughter Shiloh, three, and their year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

"We`re trying to spend more time in the South of France, because our kids have a more normal life there," said Pitt.

He also admitted he`s still struggling to master the language.

Security around the house will be improved hugely, to include a surveillance centre, spy cameras, alarms, and infra-red sensors.

The property comes with a vineyard, swimming pool, moat, lake and forest, and a three-mile long driveway up to the main house.

The cascading stone-walled terraces have been replanted with 13 different varieties of olives, and there are 20 fountains and aqueducts.

The globe-trotting couple will split their time between France and their homes in California and New Orleans.

Hollywood actress Milla Jovovich has married filmmaker Paul WS Anderson in the backyard of their home Saturday.The couple, who met while making 2002 horror movie "Resident Evil", exchanged vows at their Beverly Hills residence in a low-key outdoor ceremony, in front of 50 guests including "Grey`s Anatomy" star Patrick Dempsey and his wife Jillian, reports imdb.com.

The bride wore a 1960s style dress she designed herself, while Ever Gabo, her 20-month-old daughter with Anderson, served as flower girl.

After the ceremony, the new husband and wife treated guests to a reception featuring Cuban musicians playing traditional drums.

Miss Venezuela Stefania Fernandez, has been named winner of the 2009 Miss Universe pageant.

In the meanwhile, Delhi girl Ekta Chowdhry failed to make it to the top 15 finalists of the Miss Universe 2009 contest here, dashing hopes of getting the crown back to India.

The top 15 finalists who vied for the Miss Universe crown were from Albania, Australia, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, France, Iceland, Kosovo, Puerto Rico, Sweden, Switzerland, South Africa, the US and Venezuela.

These finalists were selected from among 80 contestants who appeared in cocktail dresses and then reappeared in swim suits.

The winner was crowned by reigning Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza of Venezuela. While Miss Venezuela was became Miss Universe again, Miss Australia Rachael Finch and Miss Kosovo Gona Dragusha were crowned the first and the second runner-ups respectively.

Troubled star Mischa Barton appears to be having a nice time ever since her release from hospital, as she was spotted grabbing attention at a fashion bash organised by Samantha Ronson.

The 23-year-old actress attended the celebration of the `I Heart Ronson` collection in New York, dressed in a floral skirt, black top and black and red heels, reported Mail Online.

The former OC star looked fresh-faced and healthy, putting rumours to rest that she may have returned to work too quickly after her spell in hospital, where she had spent nearly two weeks under an `involuntarily psychiatric hold`.
