Robert Pattinson says he couldn’t get a date before ‘Twilight’

Robert Pattinson might be one of Hollywood`s most desirable men, but he used to have trouble when it came to the opposite sex.

The ‘Twilight’ star has revealed that he hasn’t had that much luck when it comes to women.

The 23-year-old heartthrob says that before his starring role in the hit movie ‘Twilight’ catapulted him to fame, he struggled to find a date and hasn’t had much experience of love.

“Last year I wasn’t even able to get a date and now it seems women have changed their minds about me," the Daily Telegraph quoted him as having told OK! magazine.

Pattinson will be returning as Edward Cullen in the latest instalment of the ‘Twilight’ series.

Hollywood heartthrob Robert Pattison believes that sudden fame is making him paranoid and ruining his life.

The 23-year-old British hunk has become a heartthrob with his role as the lovelorn vampire Edward Cullen in the romantic flick `Twilight`.

Pattinson, named `Sexiest Man Alive`, is constantly trailed by paparazzi photographers and hoards of screaming fans wherever he goes.

He was recently hit by a taxi in New York while trying to escape some overzealous fans, Contactmusic reported.

"I have to look over my shoulder all the time, be super vigilant because, at any moment, someone could be filming or recording what I`m saying," said Pattinson.

Pattinson admits that he is finding it difficult to cope with his strange new life.
"I haven`t found one place in the world yet where I could disappear. Even the most remote places I can imagine, someone will ask me for a picture with them or an autograph.

Honestly, I didn`t think that I would be recognised so easily," Pattinsong told Premiere magazine in an interview.

"The most embarrassing is when friends ask you to meet up with them and you have to tell them, `Sorry I can`t go to that place` because you`re fully aware photographers will be
waiting for you there. I feel like such a weasel when things like that happen, like the world has to revolve around me," he said.

"I was in a restaurant during a break, and when I came out two hours later, 500 people were waiting for me at the exit. It was total chaos.

"But I`m sure that if I`d said to one of those girls, `Come on, let`s go have breakfast,` she would have been totally embarrassed and would never scream my name again,"
said the actor, who recently finished shooting `New Moon`, the second part in the `Twilight` series.

Pattinson just a "close friend" for Kristen Stewart

Hollywood actress Kristen Stewart has been romantically linked to British hunk Robert Pattinson constantly but the star says her `Twilight` co-star is just a "close friend".

"Robert and I are great friends but I understand why you would assume that, when we lean on each other for support, there must be something more. And I`m not cricitising anyone for thinking it either. If anything, they`re really perceptive because they can see a closeness," says 19-year-old actress says.

Stewart who has just finished filming the second movie in the Twilight Saga, `New Moon` says she is really excited to take the series to the end with two more flicks to go.

"I can`t wait to be finished because initially when I start a movie, I`m dying to get it done. I`m thinking about it all the time, I want to do the scenes and I want to make sure we do them right.

"Usually I have six weeks and at the end of that we will have our product and gone through everything we wanted to. But in this case I have to wait literally years. I`m waiting to get it done," Stewart says.

The actress plays the character of Bella Swan in the teen romance saga, who falls in love with a vampire (Robert Pattinson) in the hit series based on the novels by Stephenie Meyer.

Robert Pattinson shower curtain offers female fans chance to be close to him

‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson’s face has been emblazoned on a shower curtain, which is expected to gain popularity among his female fans.

The young English actor can be seen with his recognisable tousled hair and rugged jawline on the hand-painted curtain.

The black and white curtains sold like hot cakes when they were first put up for sale on Etsy, the craft website, in June.

The Toronto manufacturer is presently said to be out of stock.

According to reports, each curtain comes fitted with hook holes to allow it to be hung up in any bath or shower.

The curtain’s maker insists that it can also be displayed as a work of art.

"Hand-painted with a brush just like a piece of art. Hang it in your shower, on your wall, in a window, behind your bed as a headboard, or frame it and display it just like any art portrait in your home," the Telegraph quoted the listing as stating.

Pattinson has become one of the most desired actors on planet since starring as Edward Cullen in the film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer`s teenage fantasy novel.

He has been strongly linked to ‘Twilight’ co-star Kristen Stewart.

However, he has proved reluctant to talk about his love life, insisting that he spends most of his time at home watching films and reading.

`Twilight` stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are reportedly looking for a house to move in together.

They are apparently sharing a hotel suite right now and plan to buy a home as soon as they finish shooting, Eclipse, the third film from the vampire series in Vancouver, Canada.

"It was only a matter of time. They`re a perfect match on and off screen, so they are right to trust their instincts and give this a proper shot," Contactmusic quoted Gordon Rael, a friend of the pair as telling New Weekly.

However, Pattinson’s family may still be unaware.

His aunt Diane Nutley, said: "I still don``t know the ins and outs, (but) we`re incredibly proud of him."

Both stars were recently snapped kissing at a Kings of Leon concert.

However, they have always denied being in a relationship.

Robert Pattinson denies saying he is single

Actor Robert Pattinson has denied tabloid reports that he is single.

The `Twilight` star claimed that he never spoke to British newspaper, The Mirror, which quoted him saying he has not seeing anyone, reports Contactmusic.

The Mirror had quoted him as saying: "I don`t have a girlfriend. I don`t know why. You always think you``re going to get more girls after you``ve made a movie and it never happens.

“You sit there and you`re like `I`m a big movie star and I want to go out with some models` but I don`t know why that doesn``t happen."

He reportedly added: "It`s especially different in LA. Most of the women there are actresses and by default that makes them a little bit nuts - not that that``s a bad thing.

“But I don`t really have a type. Whenever I get asked who my favourite celebrity crush is, I have no idea."

However, his publicist has now denied that the heartthrob made any such statement.

The reps said: "I will only comment on matters regarding Robert’s professional life, but in order to set the record straight, Robert did not speak to the Mirror, and their claim that they spoke to him a few days ago is manufactured along with any information that they claim to have as an exclusive directly from him."

In the recent past, Pattinson has denied reports that he is secretly dating Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart.
