Ahmed has forged a durable star-choreogrpaher bond with Ranbir. Ahmad is predictably excited. He said, “This is a young cute Sardarji having a blast on the dance floor. It’s unlike anything anyone has ever seen. We had to cancel on Tuesday because Ranbir’s Naani passed away. But we managed in two days.”

Noel Gallagher quit Oasis over paternity row with brother

Noel Gallagher allegedly quit Oasis after his brother and band member Liam joked he was not the biological father of his daughter.Liam was said to have “jokingly suggested” that Noel’s daughter Anais, 9, was conceived when the songwriter`s former wife Meg Matthews was having an affair – a sneer that was tagged “unforgivable” by the guitarist.

"People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer."

He later added: "The details are not important and of too great a number to list. But I feel you have the right to know that the level of verbal and violent intimidation towards me, my family, friends and comrades has become intolerable."

Brad Pitt visits urban development project in Spain

US actor Brad Pitt, who has created a foundation to promote rebuilding in hurricane-wracked New Orleans, has visited the northern Spanish town of Aviles to study the possibility of taking part in an urban development project there.Pitt, who Monday toured the works of the Oscar Niemeyer International Cultural Center, said he was "enthusiastic" about the innovative Island of Innovation project and showed special interest in "everything that has to do with sustainability".

The centre is the first project in Spain by Brazilian architect Niemeyer.

Pitt was also accompanied by the director of the Oscar Niemeyer Foundation, Natalio Grueso, and Aviles culture secretary Mercedes Alvarez.

"He`s interested in supporting the project in both its cultural and architectural aspects," the mayor said, adding that they have talked of "possible ties" whose details will be determined over time.

Varela said that "a fundamental part" of one of the actor`s architectural projects in New Orleans is "sustainability" and he has said that this is what he is particularly looking for at the Island of Innovation, most of which will be operational by July 2010.

Singer Chris Brown has said that reports on the net claiming he has forgotten what happened the night he assaulted his ex-girlfriend/singer Rihanna are false.The Kiss Kiss hitmaker has called reports based on a clip of an interview with Larry King misleading.

"There have been reports on the Internet that I didn`t remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight,” People magazine quoted him as saying.

He said: "That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like four or five times – and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.

"The first four times – or however many times it was – I gave the same answer – which was that I didn`t think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn`t fair to Rihanna. The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, `Do you remember doing it?` and I said, `No.`

"Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything. But it was and still is a blur.

“And yes, I still can`t believe it happened because it is not me or who I am, nor is what happened like anything I have ever done before.

"As I have said several times previously, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and I wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can`t. I take full responsibility for my actions.

“What I have to do now is to prove to the world that this was an isolated incident and that is not who I am, and I intend to do so by my behavior now and in the future."

Nick Cannon says wife Mariah Carey ‘did not help land talent job`

Nick Cannon has slammed rumours that he landed the job of hosting ‘America`s Got Talent’ only because of his famous wife Mariah Carey.The rapper/actor, who married the ‘Hero’ hitmaker last year, has insisted that their marital relationship does not sway potential employers.

He added: "What actually happened is she had a hit single out and we got the number one show on TV so it’s the only destination for someone to perform in front of that big of an audience during the summer. She’s a huge fan of the show."

However, Cannon has confessed that he was the one who facilitated the deal for Carey to appear on the show.

"They were looking for people and I kinda came up with the idea originally to debut her video on NBC and once that relationship got together, they were like, ``Do you think she would come perform?`` and I was like, ``Why not? Let’s figure it out!``” he added.

They (the family) want justice to be done and that`s what is being done. I don`t know (if that means criminal charges).

"It`s the first time I`ve ever heard of the drug. That tells me that was foul play, that`s what it tells me and (there is) more to be investigated to see what was behind all of this stuff, not just Dr. Conrad Murray. Someone should pay. Not just someone, but all of them should pay that`s (sic) involved. I didn`t say doctors - everybody else that`s involved."

Actress Renee Zellweger, who had a minor car accident Monday, has walked away from the scene unscathed, an officer said.She was involved in a minor car accident in Beverly Hills Monday when a green Ford Explorer made an illegal U-turn, Lt. Tony Lee of the Beverly Hills Police Department revealed.

Renee was travelling alone in her silver Mercedes, reported aceshowbiz.com.

Rapper Eminem`s ex-wife Kim Mathers has launched an attack against him, calling him an "absolutely horrible person" in a radio interview.

Pop star Britney Spears has posted a warning on her official website urging fans not to fall for fake `meet and greets` promised by online auctions.

`Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani ` to release on November 6

Rajkumar Santoshi`s `Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani` is all set for a threatrical release on November six.Santoshi, who has not had box office success for quite some time, has tried his hand at comedy after his debut movie `Andaz Apna Apna`.

He is optimistic that audiences will like the film and his lead pair Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif.

"Katrina has tried her hand at comedy for the first time and has done a good job," Santoshi said.

"Ranbir plays Prem in the film. It`s a love story and Prem also stands for love," he said.

Santoshi`s last film was `Halla Bol` starring Ajay Devgan.

The filmmaker is working on his new projects `Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhiya Woh Jamiya Nahin` an adaptation of Asghar Wajahat`s play and `Kanwal Pal Singh Gill` on the Khalistan movement.

The Telegraph quoted photographer Phoebe Rudomino, as saying about Knightley: "She was naturally very good. She was wearing a fairly heavy dress which made it hard but she was surrounded by safety divers and she did very well."

The 24-year-old beauty was shooting to promote the charity Fresh2o, which provides clean water to people.

Knightley said: "There may be gaffer tape holding a bikini together or divers hanging upside down to keep someone in a certain position but the viewer will only ever see the final polished shot.”

Talking to reporters Khan said, "It`s related to Sanjay Dutt`s life and is very close to his heart. He has been doing a lot of anti-drugs campaigns. The minute he heard the story, he said he was on. The protagonist`s plunge into a haze of drugs and then his redemption stuck an immediate chord in Sanjay Dutt`s heart."

As for the other actors, Ahmed wants to cast Naseeruddin Shah and Irrfan Khan as drug barons.

Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears show off hot bods on Miami holiday

Britney and her sister Jamie Lynn Spears showed off their hot bikini bodies on Monday, while on Holiday in Miami.

The siblings, along with their kids and parents, had spent about an hour at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel pool Monday afternoon.

"They both looked to be in pretty good shape," Us magazine quoted a witness as saying.

This is the first time that 18-year-old Jamie Lynn, who welcomed daughter Maddie in June 2008, has shown off her post-baby body.

"She had on a white, spangly top. A very little bikini!" said the witness.

The family, including Sean Preston, 3, and Jayden James, 2, "sat around the pool for about 20 minutes. Then Britney worked on her tan while Jamie Lynn took her daughter and her mom to a cabana on the beach.”

Shaan creates history; gives an enthralling performance at Proms

For the first time in 114 years, Bollywood music echoed through the prestigious BBC Promenade Concerts or Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, with Indian singing sensation Shaan giving an exceptional performance. The singer met with rousing applause as he brought an evening of Indian classical renditions to a rocking climax.

The British media went gaga over Shaan’s performance and it was said to be, “suffused with a blast of colour and energy.” Talking to a news daily about the exciting performance, Shaan said, “There were more than 40 artistes who came from all over the world to perform during the festival. For the first time, Bollywood had a presence at such a prestigious event.”

Shaan was reluctant initially. “Because the majority of the audience was British; almost 70 per cent of those in the hall were non-Asians. But I could tell that they were all curious about Bollywood music. I’d kept the first half very sombre and sang some of my popular numbers like Main Hoon Don, Saawariya, Chand Sifarish, Bam Bam Bole and so on. It was a three-hour performance; and we also had a popular dance group from the UK – Honey’s Dance Academy – perform along with us. I concluded the evening with Jai Ho and people just freaked out. The people in the galleries were clapping their hands, and there were more than 4000 people standing and dancing while I was singing. It was wonderful and that kept me really charge,” he said

The singer also met his favourites at the event. “I met Jimmy Page, which was a fantastic interaction,” he says, adding excitedly, “And I got an autograph of George Michael! I was totally thrilled, like a little kid! Actually, the car company that provided cars for us also works for George. When I found out, I requested them to get me one autograph of his. I couldn’t meet George, but I was happy holding the autograph in my hand,” he smiles.

Shaan’s family that includes his wife Radhika and two kids also accompanied him. “Both my kids, Soham and Shubh, were thrilled to see such a big crowd. Soham, who’s seven years old and grown up now, came to me saying, ‘Now the world has become my Baba’s fan club!’’”

After enthralling the firangs, the singer is now set to release an album. “I plan to release my romantic pop album titled Tishnagi. Radhika, Soham and Shubh will also feature in the video,” he said. Great going, Shaan!

Carrie Prejean sues Miss California organization

Former Miss California Carrie Prejean has slapped the state organization with a lawsuit, alleging it discriminated against her religious beliefs and caused her emotional distress, her lawyer has said.

The 22-year-old, who was controversially stripped off her crown due to her anti-gay marriage activism, turned to Los Angeles Superior Court against K2 Productions, co-executive directors Keith Lewis and Shanna Moakler and publicist Roger Neal.

The former Miss USA runner-up was accused of “breach of contract” and failure to attend scheduled appearances by state pageant officials – a claim denied by the beauty’s lawyer.

"If Carrie had not answered the question in support of traditional marriage ... she would most certainly still be Miss California,” Fox News quoted Prejean’s attorney Charles S Limandri as saying.

“Over the past two months we have worked hard to provide overwhelming evidence that Carrie Prejean did not violate her contract with Miss California USA and did not deserve to have her title revoked by Keith Lewis.

“We will make the case that her title was taken from her solely because of her support of traditional marriage. She did not want to sue, but people need to know the truth,” Limandri added.

Responding to the court case, Lewis said he would file a counter lawsuit, adding: “It appears that suits from both sides are now inevitable against the other.”

Prejean has not taken Donald Trump, the owner of the Miss USA pageant, to court.

The ‘Star Wars’ actress, who filmed a FunnyOrDie comedy sketch about the financial crisis last year, insists that workers who are now worse off will be able to get their lives back on track, and find the career they have always wanted.

"I think it`s kind of an exciting time. I mean, everyone is cutting back. It`s happening in every industry - including our own. All of a sudden, people are doing jobs that they hate and they`re not making as much money as they thought they would or they`ve lost their jobs entirely,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

Portman added: “I`ve started to see people looking more toward their own passions and what really excites them."

Kate Moss goes wild for a topless jungle shoot

Actor-producer Suniel Shetty whose film "Daddy Cool" recently hit the screens, claims he is a very cool father and is just like a friend to his children.

"I think I am a very cool daddy because my kids are more like my friends. I was always aware of the fact that I didn`t want to get stuck with the problem of any generation gap so I rather grow up with them," Suniel told reporters.

"I spend a lot of time with them. Showering them with affection but at the same time being very particular of what I want. So I think we are friends and that`s why we share a fantastic relationship," he added.

The 48-year-old actor has two kids, Ahan and Athiya.

Disney captures Spider-Man`s Marvel for $4 bn

Walt Disney Co is to buy Marvel Entertainment for $4 bn, the companies announced Monday, giving the family entertainment conglomerate a powerful squad of movie superheroes such as Spider-Man, the X-Men, The Incredible Hulk and The Fabulous Four.

In a statement, Disney chief executive Bob Iger said that "adding Marvel to Disney`s unique portfolio of brands provides significant opportunities for long-term growth and value creation."

"We are pleased to bring this talent and these great assets to Disney."

Under the terms of the deal, Marvel shareholders will receive a total of $30 per share in cash plus approximately 0.745 Disney shares for each Marvel share they own.

In return, Disney will get the rights to over 5,000 Marvel characters, many of which have much stronger box office allure than Disney`s traditional stable of characters such as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. The three Spider-Man movies alone have generated some $2.5 billion in worldwide box office receipts.

The acquisition reflects Disney`s long-term strategy of adding to its cast of characters and talent as when it bought animation powerhouse Pixar for $7.4 billion in 2006.

The Marvel deal also gives Disney a key brand for connecting with teenage boys, a market that has been overshadowed by the popularity of stars such as Hannah Montana with girls.

"Disney is the perfect home for Marvel`s fantastic library of characters given its proven ability to expand content creation and licensing businesses," said Marvel chief executive Ike Perlmutter.

"This is an unparalleled opportunity for Marvel to build upon its vibrant brand and character properties by accessing Disney`s tremendous global organization and infrastructure around the world," he added.

Shania Twain tells fans she`s moved on, after split

Country singer Shania Twain is feeling like a woman again, returning to the spotlight with a new man by her side after her marriage broke up last year.

Twain, 44, separated from her husband of 14 years, record producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange, just over a year ago after he had an affair, ending a highly lucrative partnership in which Lange produced the Canadian star`s three blockbuster albums.

But after largely disappearing from the public eye for a year, Twain is back, set to appear as a guest judge on television singing contest "American Idol" during auditions this week.

In a letter addressed to fans on her website, which is accompanied by a video, Twain said she spent the past year traveling, reading, sharing time with her son 8-year-old Eja, and "concentrating on moving on and forward."

"I hit a very big bump in the road," said Twain, whose marriage broke down after her husband was reported to be having an affair with longtime secretary and manager of the couple`s Swiss chateau, Marie-Anne Thiebaud.

Twain said she has now made a point of surrounding herself with loving people whom she could trust, referring particularly to a man called "Fred" described as a constant companion who understood her pain as his own family had split up under "the same extreme circumstances."

Her companion is Frederic Thiebaud, the husband of Marie-Anne Thiebaud.

"We leaned on one another through the ups and downs, taking turns holding each other up. We`ve become stronger and closer through it all, as have our children Eja and Johanna (Fred`s 8-year-old daughter)," said Twain.

"When I reflect on it all, it`s clear how remarkably active my life has been since last December -- a time in the life of someone working hard to "move on" and succeeding."

Twain made no mention of when she would be out with some new music.

Paris Hilton can pursue Hallmark lawsuit: Court

The celebrity and heiress Paris Hilton may pursue her lawsuit against Hallmark Cards over its use of her picture and catchphrase `That`s hot` on a greeting card, a federal appeals court ruled on Monday.

Hilton had contended that Hallmark violated her privacy and right of publicity by ripping off a scene from her reality TV show `The Simple Life` on a birthday card captioned "Paris`s First Day as a Waitress."

A three-judge panel of the US 9th Circuit Court of Appeals rejected Hallmark`s argument that its depiction of the Hilton Hotels heiress was protected speech as a matter of law.

It sent the case back to a lower court, which had turned aside Hilton`s claim of trademark infringement but rejected other Hallmark defenses.

Lincoln Bandlow, a lawyer at Lathrop & Gage LLP in Los Angeles representing Hallmark, said "the analysis of the First Amendment defense is incorrect. It will leave a lot of speakers subjected to meritless right of publicity claims."

He said Hallmark will evaluate options including a possible appeal to the full 9th Circuit or the U.S. Supreme Court.

Brent Blakely, a lawyer for Hilton, was not available for comment.

The card showed Hilton`s face superimposed on a cartoon of a waitress serving a plate of food to a restaurant customer.

Hilton tells the customer, "Don`t touch that, it`s hot." The customer asks, "What`s hot?" Hilton responds, "That`s hot." The inside of the card reads "Have a smokin` hot birthday."

The appeals court rejected Hallmark`s argument that the card was sufficiently "transformative" as to deserve automatic protection because the setting was different and the phrase "that`s hot" referred to the temperature of a plate of food.

While noting differences from the TV show, including that the cartoon body was of a generic female and not Hilton, Judge Diarmuid O`Scannlain said "the basic setting is the same: we see Paris Hilton, born to privilege, working as a waitress."

He concluded that Hilton "has at least some probability of prevailing on the merits before a trier of fact."

The private equity firm Blackstone Group LP took control of Hilton Hotels Corp in 2007. Hallmark is privately held and based in Kansas City, Missouri.

The case is Hilton v. Hallmark Cards, U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals (Pasadena), No. 08-55443.

Action, comedy are boring, Akshay wants some romance now

He has done loads of action films and made audiences laugh in rib-tickling comedies, but Bollywood star Akshay Kumar now says he`s bored and wants some romance...on screen of course!

"I want to do more romance. I`ve actually gotten bored of comedy and action. Yes, I just want to do some romantic films. And that`s what my next thing is going to be," Akshay told reporters in an interview.

While his fans enjoyed actioners like `Khiladi`, `Mohra` and `Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi`, Akshay also drew audiences for laugh riots `Hera Pheri`, `Mujhse Shaadi Karogi`, `Welcome` and `Singh Is Kinng` among others.

"...I`ve done quite a lot of comedy now and I don`t know...sometimes an actor is very sensitive about what he`s doing and where he wants to go ahead and do. I know comedy has worked a lot and it has worked brilliantly for me.

"Earlier, when I used to do action I would never think about comedy and then I started getting into it and I was quite successful. So now I`ve never done a complete romantic film. I did `Dhadkan`, which was eight years back. But now I wanna get into it and do at least two or three romantic films now," said the actor, who entered Bollywood in 1991.

One of the highest earning members of the Hindi film industry, Akshay maintains that there is no sure-shot secret to success, but stressed that hard work and being "a producer`s actor" is essential.

"It`s actually your hard work, your punctuality...Even if you`re not a good actor, to be a producer`s actor is very essential...If you finish your films on time, save a lot of money for the producer. I remember there was a time when I had delivered 14 flops in a row. But I still had movies along with me for a very simple reason, because I was a producer`s actor."

"I had good films still coming... I had finished all films in a three-month span. Even if they went for loss, they still preferred working with me. And after that, even I thought my career was over. But it still carried on," Akshay added.

And luck, he said, is of supreme importance for remaining on top.

"I`ve just been lucky... a lot of times I`ve watched my films and I felt it`s not good. And those films worked. Like I tell you another film of mine was "8x10Tasveer". I love that film... When I saw it, it`s good but it didn`t work at all. So I don`t know exactly what works and what doesn`t work. You just flow. I liked "Chandni Chowk To China". I did it with Warner Brothers, I was very confident and it didn`t work at all."

So why didn`t it work?

"I think it was the storyline. Like `Kambakkht Ishq` was another film where that combination got together (Bollywood and Hollywood); so that worked. But this one didn`t. So it`s not the combination, it`s actually the script - and sometimes the script doesn`t work."

The actor also firmly believes that the blessings of his parents too go a long way in making him the star he is today.

"I would say my success lies at the feet of my parents because that`s been my biggest strength and that`s what we Hindus believe in. Every morning before going to work just touch your parents` feet and go ahead in life. That`s my personal belief and I followed that in my life. And I told a lot of people and they have also been successful. People may believe it or not, but that`s exactly what I believe in," Akshay said.
