Ranbir Kapoor is handling a death in the family, and his stoic professional take is appreciable. His maternal grandmother, with whom he was very close, expired this week. Living in the same house in a room right opposite his and her constant in and out of her favourite grandson’s space, Ranbir is bound to feel the painful void left by his granny, but he is bearing up with courage. What is even more striking is his stoicism. Handling his grief very well, Ranbir was ready the very next day to shoot for a special last-minute song in the songless ‘Rocket Singh - Salesman Of The Year’. He is dancing to Ahmed Khan’s choreography at Yashraj Films.
The song happens to be an inspirational add-up at the last moment.
Choreographer Ahmed revealed to a news daily, “Even I was surprised when Aditya Chopra approached me for a song in ‘Rocket Singh’. Then I heard the track by Salim-Suleiman and I was blown. It’s a sure-shot hit!”
Ahmed has forged a durable star-choreogrpaher bond with Ranbir. Ahmad is predictably excited. He said, “This is a young cute Sardarji having a blast on the dance floor. It’s unlike anything anyone has ever seen. We had to cancel on Tuesday because Ranbir’s Naani passed away. But we managed in two days.”
Working with such a devoted performer would be a joy to anyone.
