Hollywood couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are at odds over their final resting place. "Angelina initially wanted to be buried beside her ex-husband Billy Bob (Thornton). She bought his and hers cemetery plots in Louisiana but since then she's changed her will. "She's been trying to persuade Brad to make a decision on where they should be buried but he thinks the whole thing is morbid," daily mail quoted a source as saying. The 34-year-old actress and 45-year-old Pitt have own several properties across the globe. Earlier, the two disagreed over their accommodation. While Pitt is keen to set up a permanent base to raise their six children, Jolie is equally anxious to continue their globe-trotting existence, believing it is educational.

Vidya looses Rs 3 lakhs along with weight

Vidya Balan, whose weight was one of her biggest issues, now has another issue to deal with. The actress who lost a lot of weight recently can’t fit into some of her designer clothes, made for her then meatier and curvier frame. Since some of those outfits cannot be altered, she has to do away with them. The clothes that she has lost sum up to a total of Rs.3 lakhs.

According to sources, she has been forced to discard outfits by Sabysachi, Priyadarshini Rao and Abu Sandeep. Vidya has lost 4 inches from the top and 3 from the waist and she herself confirms having to get rid of the outfits. Kajol and Kareena in Stepmom

KARAN Johar has roped in his favourite starlet Kajol Devgan for his next venture Stepmom. And according to sources, Kareena Kapoor will also star in the movie. It will be second time when the duo will be seen together on silver screen. Previously they were seen together in Karan's smash hit Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001.

Shooting will start on the movie, a remake of the Hollywood film starring Juliet Roberts and Susan Sarandon, when all the actors are free from their ongoing projects. Kajol is currently busy doing Karan's My Name Is Khan with Shah Rukh Khan while Kareena, who is said to be really excited about the film is busy with Rensil D'Silva's film.

By now, Vivek Oberoi must have got used to being the butt of jokes! This time the hapless actor was targeted by none other than Salman Khan’s brother Sohail Khan, who reportedly called Vivek a waiter at a party.

Our source reveals that during Ramesh Taurani’s silver anniversary, Sohail Khan took the opportunity to poke fun at Sallu’s rival Vivek. When Sohail walked in, Vivek was standing quietly in a corner, sipping a drink. As he proceeded towards the party, Sohail spotted Vivek, and without wasting any time, he started humiliating him.

An eyewitness said, “Sohail called out ‘Oye, Vivek!’. On hearing his name, Vivek looked towards Sohail. Immediately, Sohail looked at a waiter carrying a tray of drinks and again said, ‘Oye, Vivek, zaraa idhar aana’.”

Shah Rukh’s detention is no big deal, says Salman

While almost everyone in Bollywood is feeling terrible about Shah Rukh Khan’s detention at the Newark airport in the US, actor Salman Khan feels it is no big deal. Salman said, "It is not such a big deal. When we go there, we too have to go through the security check. There haven’t been any attacks in the US since 9/11 because of their stringent security measures. I think it is a good thing (the security)."

Shilpa slams stores for black marketing swine flu masks

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has blasted stores that are selling masks at "three times" the price when the swine flu situation in many parts of the country is "grave"."Three days ago I scurried to buy myself a mask wanting to use it at the airport. Imagine my dismay at learning masks were out of stock at the medical stores but are being sold at three times the cost by some unscrupulous stores," Shilpa posted on her blog shilpashettylive.com/blog Friday morning.

"It`s insane that people could think of capitalising on such grave situations. I finally procured mine from my dentist where I had an appointment yesterday," she added.

MJ’s sister working for his charities to cope with his death

Michael Jackson’s sister La Toya has enveloped herself into charity work to battle the grief caused by her brother’s sudden demise.

She has taken over campaign work for the late King of Pop`s beloved good causes.

The ‘Thriller’ hitmaker`s sister has been working alongside the AIDS Project Los Angeles movement since the superstar’s death in June this year.

La Toya has revealed that her family members are all finding their own way to work through the bereavement.

"We`re doing the best that we can,” Contactmusic quoted her as having told E! Online.

She added: "Everyone has just been going through what they``re going through at the moment. It``s a very trying time for all of us."

The singer is donating revenue from her new single ‘Home’ to the AIDS charity.

And she has insisted that the best way for her to cope with her brother`s death is by throwing herself behind causes he supported.

She added: "It means a lot to me because as you all know, my brother has given to so many organisations, and this is one of the organisations he``s been giving to for over 10 years."

Pressure from pals, booze behind Simpson-Romo split?

`King Khan` says he is fine after Newark airport search

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Saturday said that he was doing well and was fine after his two-hour-long ordeal at Newark International Airport.Khan was detained for about two hours on Saturday morning at the airport in New Jersey, USA.

Khan had arrived here to attend a South Asian related event.

Khan was released after Congress MP Rajiv Shukla spoke to the authorities in the US and the Indian consulate.

He was detained after his name flashed on a computer and was asked several questions about the purpose of his visit.

Khan`s hand baggage was checked. The authorities did not even allow him to make a phone call for nearly an hour.

Reacting to the incident, Khan said, "I told them I was a movie star and had recently visited the country for the shooting of my film. Nothing seemed to convince the immigration officer. There were other immigration officers, who even vouched for me but this particular officer, did not listen to anyone. I even told them I had an invitation from the South Asian community and was there to attend an event."

Meanwhile in New Delhi, there were strong reactions to Khan being detained by the American authorities.

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni, said, "I don`t think frisking is conducted with a religious bias in mind, but in the US, there have been many such cases when authorities go overboard.

Soni demanded that American citizens should also be frisked in the same manner that Indians are frisked.

India`s former ambassador to the United States Naresh Chandra said that Khan`s detention clearly exhibited the "ham-handed" approach of American security agencies.

He told reporters over phone that a formal complaint about this harassment should be reported to the US State Department.

Reacting to the incident, Ambassador Chandra said: " The authorities should have taken maximum 10 -15 minutes for questioning Shah Rukh, but it took two hours. It is great incompetence and has lowered the image of (US) Homeland Security".

Sources said that Khan was indeed detained at the US airport and questioned for two hours. They said he was released only after Indian Officials intervened.

They added that the Consulate General of New York was in touch with Shah Rukh Khan. According to sources, the Indian consulate could register a formal complaint against the security agencies involved in this "embarrassing" incident.

Some experts said that a formal complaint should be sent to the US envoy in Delhi.

Chandra, however, said that making it a big diplomatic issue would be counterproductive because the incident had nothing to do with US policy, but was the handiwork of lowly officers deployed at the airport.

US Ambassador to India, Timothy J Roemer, on Saturday said that he was looking into reasons for the detention of Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan at Newark International Airport.

“We are trying to ascertain the facts of the case -- to understand what took place,” said the Ambassador.

"Shah Rukh Khan, the actor and global icon, is a very welcome guest in the United States. Many Americans love his films,” Ambassador Roemer added.

The incident, ironically, comes at a time when Khan is preparing for Karan Johar`s new film `My Name Is Khan`, in the United States, a film touching upon the minority being targeted for no fault of theirs only because of suspicion.

Deepika Padukone buoyant with her two upcoming comedy flicks!

After making a dream debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Om Shanti Om’, trying her hands at romantic comedy (‘Bacha Ae Haseeno’) and action flick (‘Chandni Chowk To China’), Deepika will now be seen in comic roles in ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’ and ‘Housefull.’

Bollywood reacts; feels terrible about Shah Rukh’s detention episode

Soon after Shah Rukh Khan got detained for as long as two hours early on Saturday at the Newark airport in the US for having ‘Khan’ as his last name, the Bollywood bigwigs came out reacting strongly to the episode. Being SRK’s close friend and also the director of his upcoming film ‘My Name Is Khan’, Karan Johar said, “I’m shocked and upset...feeling terrible for Shah Rukh.”

While speaking to a news channel, Karan said, “Initial media reports said that he was ‘arrested’, it was awful. There’s a sense of humiliation and embarrassment. I mean being who he is, I don’t understand why he had to go through something like this.”

On the other hand, reacting strongly to what happened with Shah Rukh, actress Priyanka Chopra poster on Twitter, “Shocking, disturbing and downright disgraceful. It’s such behaviour that fuels hatred and racism. SRK`s a world figure for God’s sake. GET REAL!!”

Music director Vishal Dadlani (of Vishal-Shekhar fame) also posted, “This is plain silly!! I mean, a quick internet search would tell them what they need to know about SRK!! Paranoia breeds stupidity, I guess!”

Meanwhile, talking to a news channel about the incident, Shah Rukh said, “The US has developed religious paranoia over the years. My guard was also denied a visa because he has the same last name as mine. They said I can’t use my phone.”

Shah Rukh was released after Indian embassy officials vouched for him. He was in the US to attend Independence Day celebrations.

‘The Goree Girls’ is based on a true-life story about a group of women imprisoned in Texas who start a country and western band.

"These women learned to harmonize and they learned to play instruments," Sucsy said.

"They weren`t these amazing, accomplished singers who banded together. That`s what`s interesting about it.

"It`s not just like, ``Hey, you can play the guitar, I can play the piano, I can play the harmonica. Let`s put a band together.``

"It`s like, ``We have to get out of jail, and if we have to put a band together to do that, then that`s what we`re going to do,`` " he added.

Sucsy says that he is planning to cast real-life musicians alongside Aniston, 40, for the band.

After being detained for as long as two hours early on Saturday at the Newark airport in the US, Bollywood superstar said that he would avoid coming to US now, for he doesn’t want to be a part of America’s paranoia of religion. Reacting to the actor’s statement about the country, the US Ambassador Timothy J Roemer said, “Shah Rukh is a global icon and is always welcome in the US. Many Americans love his films.”

Roemer’s statement has come as the first reaction of American government to Shah Rukh’s detaining episode.

Khan, who is on a visit to the US to attend an Indian Independence Day event as the guest of honour, was released after intervention from Congress MP Rajiv Shukla, who spoke to the authorities in the US and the Indian consulate. However, the US Embassy says that they are still finding out what really happened at the incident.

“We are clarifying. We are trying to ascertain facts about the incident,” US Embassy official said.

SRK was reportedly detained because of his surname ‘Khan’ that features on the alert list of US airport officials since the 9/11 attacks. According to reports, the actor was detained after his name flashed on the computer. Khan was asked a bounty of questions about the purpose of his visit. His hand baggage was checked and he was not even allowed to make a single phone call for about an hour.

In a statement given to a news daily, SRK said, “I told them I was a movie star and had recently visited the country for the shooting of my film. Nothing seemed to convince the immigration officer. As it is I am quite reluctant in coming to the US and I would make sure that I avoid it in the future.”

When asked what he had to say about Ambika Soni’s statement on the issue where she had called for frisking laws to be made stringent for foreigners in India, “the way they are in US”, the actor said in a lighter vein, “Yes, perhaps that way you can frisk and grill Angelina Jolie too.”

“This has happened with me before and that’s why it concerns me all the more. As it is I shy away from coming to the US because I don’t want to participate in their paranoia about religion and everything that the US has developed into over the years. I don’t want to say that it happened because I am a Muslim as it may lead to something else, but I think it had something to do with that only. We can only avoid this by not coming to the US,” added Shah Rukh.

Suggesting what can be done to avoid such embarrassments, the actor said, “I guess they need to modify the system. I am sure they can do much better than this, being the advanced country America is.”

The actor ended up by saying, “This particular episode makes me appreciate our independence one million times more. I need an incident like this to strengthen my faith in God further. I am looking forward to coming back to my country.”

German beauty Diane Kruger has kicked off rumours that she may get married to boyfriend Joshua Jackson after a diamond band was spotted on her ring finger.

Natalie Cole has been thanking her stars and the anonymous fan who donated a kidney to her, letting her enjoy a new lease of life.The singer, who suffered a kidney failure caused by hepatitis C, underwent a life-saving kidney transplant.

And the nine-time Grammy Award-winner is grateful because the new organ has totally turned her life around.

"It`s remarkable what a new kidney does to your life. I have no complaints. I`m pretty amazed. I have been working on my stamina,” a news daily quoted her as telling a magazine.

"I just went to the doctor today. He is thrilled. I`m just really, really thankful. I`m thankful to the doctors, I`m thankful to the family that donated the kidney," she added.

Cole further insisted she could not have made it through without the support of friends and family.

She said, "My sisters who live in Florida, they came out, my son, oodles of friends. I got sick in New York, I wasn`t at home. I didn`t know how many good friends I had until this happened. It was beautiful. I had people come and see me everyday to see me in the hospital for 10 days."

Brit singer Lily Allen has taken the pains to point out that her latest fella is not a painter and decorator, but rather a builder.Allen, 24, took to her Twitter.com page, and wrote that Sam Cooper is a builder who runs his own firm.

MJ merchandise stolen from storage lock-up

Merchandise worth millions of dollars belonging to late King of Pop Michael Jackson has reported been stolen from a storage lock-up in Las Vegas by a businessman in New Jersey.

The missing items are said to have been from the singer’s personal collection, and had been given to Henry Vaccaro to settle a legal dispute in the 1990s, reports a news daily.

The collection, believed to be worth over 1 million dollars, is said to include lyrics, notebooks and costumes, as well as 60 unreleased master tapes, which contain 26 previously unheard Jackson songs.

Shortly before the music icon’s death in June this year, Vaccaro agreed to hand eight items back to Jackson, following a request from the star, and after Jackson’s death he offered to return the belongings to the estate.

But when he went back to the storage space in Las Vegas with two of Jackson’s lawyers in July this year, he reportedly discovered 114 items missing, including the eight he had agreed to return to Jackson.

Vaccaro alleges the missing items were subsequently sold by Clark County Public Auction owner Mario Trabado, who claims to have acquired the items legally from a private seller.

He sold 277 lots for approximately 37,000 dollars at the end of June.

Vaccaro has lodged a complaint with the Las Vegas police, who are believed to be investigating his claims.

Shah Rukh ‘Khan’ detained, grilled at Newark airport on Independence Day!

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was detained for as long as two hours early on Saturday at the Newark airport in the US, thanks to his surname ‘Khan’ that features on the alert list of US airport officials since the 9/11 attacks.Khan, who is on a visit to the US to attend an Indian Independence Day event as the guest of honour, was released after intervention from Congress MP Rajiv Shukla, who spoke to the authorities in the US and the Indian consulate.

According to reports, the actor was detained after his name flashed on the computer. Khan was asked a bounty of questions about the purpose of his visit. His hand baggage was checked and he was not even allowed to make a single phone call for about an hour.

In a statement given to a news daily, SRK said, “I told them I was a movie star and had recently visited the country for the shooting of my film. Nothing seemed to convince the immigration officer. There were other immigration officers who even vouched for me but this particular officer did not listen to anyone. I even told them I had an invitation from the South Asian community and was there to attend an event.”

Shukla, in a statement to Zee News said, “It is really sad and unfair. Just because he has a common surname does not mean that every Muslim can be taken as a suspect or considered to be a terrorist. The concerned authorities should adopt an attitude so that a well-known name like Shah Rukh Khan is not harassed like this. They should focus on getting the actual suspects.’’

This episode, quite ironically, comes at a time when SRK is wrapping up Karan Johar’s ‘My Name Is Khan’, a film touching upon the same issue, that of the minority being targeted for no fault of theirs only because of suspicion and no solid proof.

The actor is to return to India on August 18.

SRK's race against time

Shah Rukh Khan had torn a muscle on his left shoulder for which he had to be operated and his arm was bound to a sling with doctors advising him not to exert any pressure on it till he gets completely fit.

But it has been learnt that the actor will be pushing his body to the hilt for an entire year to maintain his eight-pack abs to shoot two back to back films - Farah Khans Happy New Yearand Ra.1, a sci-fi thriller in which he plays a superhero, thereby testing the strength of his already weak shoulders. Farah's film starts end of this year. SRK still needs at least two months to be fit which means he wont be having enough time to relax and build his body. It is certainly a race against time that SRK will get into.

"Both the films are going to be physically very taxing for Shah Rukh as he will have to pull off something more than what he did for Om Shanti Om for which he had developed a six-pack. SRK needs to work out for around 2-3 hours every single day to get his body back as post the surgery he hasnt been able to do those muscle strenuous exercise routines. He has to get his abs back, his shoulders pumped up and work out on every part of his body," says an industry source.

"For all this naturally he needs to lift heavy weights too and that means SRK will be directly exerting his shoulder that has been operated on. There are other exercises too like heavy chins ups and push ups which will also stress his shoulders."

Admits Farah Khan, "Yes, it is a very physically challenging film for which Shah Rukh will have to work out a lot and his body has to endure a lot."

However, when contacted Dr Ali Irani who has been attending to the star, he says it could be detrimental for him. "As of today, Shah Rukh is not fit to do strenuous exercises. He had a half tear which meant that he could do all the exercises but then he injured himself again and had a full tear on his shoulder which needed to be operated. He needs to relax."

He adds, "He has started working with resistance bands (like Thera-Band) and there are different levels to it. As of now, he needs to clear a couple of resistance levels to prove that he is fully fit. This will at least take two months time if not more. In case he isnt fit, he shouldnt push himself. His shoulder is weak and he needs to be declared completely fit before he can start those hard exercises."

Review: Rumi Jaffery’s ‘Life Partner' is full of silly jokes!

Rumi Jaffery’s multistarrer flick ‘Life Partner’, which released all over this Friday, is nothing but another terrible attempt at comedy by the director after his recent debacle ‘God Tussi Great Ho’. Remember! ‘Life Partner’ is basically the story of two couples Fardeen Khan-Genelia D’Souza and Tusshar Kapoor-Prachi Desai. Karan (Fardeen Khan) and Sanjana (Genelia D’Souza) are firm believers of love marriage. Their friend Bhavesh (Tusshar Kapoor) goes in for an arranged one with Prachi (Prachi Desai). Soon, both the couples get irritated with their married lives and decide to go in for a divorce, and to help them enters a divorce lawyer, Jeet (Govinda). And what gets them to re-affirm their faith in the institution of marriage is what the rest of the film all about.

Govinda has again managed to add his perfect comic timing to the character of a lawyer apparently loves to break marriages. Tusshar Kapoor too has done justice to the role with his goofy comic act. But most of the jokes in the film are not even close to funny and are rather silly.

Fardeen, as usual, seems to be trying hard to be funny but tends to get too loud. Prachi Desai plays the progressive Indian bahu-straight out of her TV serial days. Genelia seems to be in an urgent need to work on her dialogue delivery.

On the whole, this one can surely be avoided.

Hilary Duff brings her charity work to Colombia

Singer-actress Hilary Duff brought her Blessings in a Backpack program to Colombia Friday to distribute 3,000 knapsacks of food to poor children in a school district south of the capital city.Duff will spend three days visiting children and participating in a vaccination campaign. She was greeted by Bogota Mayor Samuel Moreno, whom Duff said gave her "an amazing invitation" to bring the program to Colombia.

"We`ve been working for four years feeding children over the weekends," she said. "They invited us to come here, and we got our first school in Bogota."

Duff and USA Harvest founder Stan Curtis started Blessings in a Backpack for children who get their best meals at school, giving them backpacks of food every Friday to take home and share with their families when they`re away from their main source of nutrition. The program serves 106 schools and 26,000 children in the U.S. and Canada.

Colombia is the third country to take on the program, said Duff, 21, who earned fame as the teenage character Lizzie McGuire in a Disney series of the same title. She has appeared more recently in "War, Inc." and "Material Girls" and recorded several hit songs and music videos.

Duff said she only has time to visit Colombia because of work. She is filming six episodes of the television series "Gossip Girl," followed by a romantic comedy and a remake of "Bonnie and Clyde."

When asked if she had a favorite Colombian singer, she said Shakira, who also does charity work with children in her home country.

"I think she`s an amazing writer," Duff said. "She really has a strong idea of what she wants and she can play a lot of instruments and that really impresses me."

Kourtney Kardashian Was Spotted Arriving To BET Studios

Continuing along with the day’s promotional duties, Kourtney Kardashianwas spotted arriving to BET studios on Thursday afternoon (August 13).

Causing quite the stir with her pregnancy announcement, Kourtney isn’t afraid to admit that it was Kim who thought she’d be the first Kardashian girl to get pregnant.

Kourtney said on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, “She definitely thought it was going to be her first. Kim has, like, every baby name picked out.”

As far as potential jealousy that Kourtney was the first, she says, “Kim…I don’t think she was envious, but who knows. Kim gets mad if I get, like, the car that she wants. She, like, freaks out.”

The pregnancy wasn’t just a surprise to the family, but to Kourtney as well. “Out of all of us, I was definitely the last one that was even thinking about it.”

Kourtney is expecting around Christmas, but she couldn’t tell the family herself and had sister Khloe help out.

“I was just, like, so nervous,” she said. Stepdad Bruce Jenner was “the most realistic,” she says. “[He said], ‘You guys are acting like you’re getting a little puppy dog! You need to take this seriously’…. He freaks me out the most.”

The pregnancy was not planned. “This probably sounds so dumb, but there’s so many times I’ll forget to take my pill and I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. It’s just so stupid,” she admitted.

Kourtney had a hunch she was pregnant after getting “really nauseous, like, suddenly…not just in the morning. I would have to eat Saltines at all times in the day.”

On her new reality show-Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami (premiering Sunday) – Kourtney said that she gets very sick while being at a club and that her boobs were “huge and they were so sore.”

So how did she keep the news on the down low? “I just wear jeans and keep them unbuttoned and wear a big shirt.”

So what’s been the hardest part so far for her? Picking the name. “It’s so hard. I’ll think of something and it just goes away,” she said. “And everyone is asking what we’re doing with the last name: Kardashian or Disick. I don’t know [if we're getting married]. We’ve talked about it. I feel like there’s so much going on, but I don’t know if I can even go there.”
