Recently talking to a news daily, B-town oomph babe said that she is very proud to be an Indian and maintained that it is not an empty statement but a heartfelt personal experience that has been ingrained in her ever since childhood!
On the 62nd Independence Day of India, Priyanka recalls her childhood days where she was born and brought up in army background. The actress maintains that army background inculcated the virtues of altruism and independence in her.
Priyanka added that she has met numerous people whose stories can fill umpteen pages of love, sacrifice and honour for the pride of the nation.
Recalling one of her childhood incident, Priyanka speaks about her friend who struggled with her dreams and often said, “I want my freedom. To be proud of whatever I do without thinking about what society will say.”

However, post the event and her thumping victory at the show, the actress was a changed person and thanked her country for being a rare combination of intelligence, tradition, beauty culture, and history.
