Stacking duds and desperately hoping for a hit, Ajay Devgan is the latest star to have opted for numerology in an attempt to save his sinking Bollywood career. As of now the star will be known as Ajay Devgn as he has dropped the letter ‘A’ from his surname. With this the actor has joined the likes of Vivek Oberoi and Ritesh Deshmukh who too changed their names in hope for miracles.
Though Ajay has not officially stated the change in his name, the latest promos of his forthcoming production ‘All The Best’ confirm the news. And insiders suggest that Ajay opted for the change on the behest of his mom Veena.
Confirming the news a source told a news daily, "Though his friends and family have been asking Ajay to change the way he spells his name to "make it more balanced" and therefore attract success, he stayed away from the temptation. That was until his mom asked him to make the change. Last year, after ‘U Me Aur Hum’ released, Ajay had a severe back and neck sprain (he was laid up for over a month.) Later, he had some health problems and a couple of accidents on the sets."
The source further adds, "This is a huge step for Ajay as he has never been too much into numerology and astrology though he believes in vastu shastra and stones. His friends were shocked too when they learned that he`d changed the way he spells his name. He has already feeling the positive effects of the change as he has been getting mind-blowing reactions for the ‘All The Best’ promo."
