Prison guards are reportedly keeping a special check on Jade Goody’s widower Jack Tweed, fearing he may become a victim of other inmates’ attack.
The 22-year-old, whose ‘Big Brother’ star wife died of cancer in March, was charged with rape after a teenage clubber accused him of forcing her to have sex as his pal joined in.
He is said to have attacked the girl at a party at his home after inviting her back to his rented house from a London nightspot in the early hours.
It is feared that inmates may target Tweed, who is awaiting his trial, over his fame and the nature of his alleged offence.
Inmate Ray Cook said that he saw Tweed crying in his cell as he handed out food.
"My dad gave him some food and Jack was just sitting down on his bed crying. My dad said he looked like he was s***ing himself. A lot of people are shouting out of their cells, having a go at him," the Sun quoted his son Mitchell Glover as saying.
Tweed’s co-accused pal Antony Davis is free on police bail.
