Sanjay Dutt all set to do an autobiographical role on drug addiction

Having lived a tumultuous life owing to his spoilt bratty ways, Sanjay Dutt’s real life story has all the elements needed to make a smash hit potboiler. From drug addiction to a much publicized prison term, Dutt makes the perfect poster boy for a man destroyed by wealth and fame.

And now choreographer-turned-writer Ahmed Khan is all set to make an autobiographical film on the actor’s life with Sanju in the lead.

Stepping into realistic cinema, the actor will be seen playing a drug addict turned anti-drug messiah in Khan’s venture. And according to the latest Bollywood news, when Khan approached Sanjay for the project, the actor gave his nod immediately.

Confirming the news a source said, "The film has deep autobiographical shades and will be directed by Faruq Kabir, whose ready-for-release directorial debut ‘Allah Ke Bande’ has won rave advance notices”.

Talking to reporters Khan said, "It`s related to Sanjay Dutt`s life and is very close to his heart. He has been doing a lot of anti-drugs campaigns. The minute he heard the story, he said he was on. The protagonist`s plunge into a haze of drugs and then his redemption stuck an immediate chord in Sanjay Dutt`s heart."

As for the other actors, Ahmed wants to cast Naseeruddin Shah and Irrfan Khan as drug barons.

Well this is one film to look out for!
