Scottish actor David Tennant seems to have got a long way to go before he makes it in the States.
The star quit his role as the Time Lord in cult UK sci-fi show ‘Dr Who’ last year (09), and ventured to America in search of a new challenge.
However, the British TV star was recently left embarrassed in the US after he was asked for identification at an audition.
"I was going to an audition but I couldn`t get past the security guard,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
“He asked for some ID (identification) but I didn`t have any - I didn`t think I`d need it," he added.
