Lady Gaga asked to act respectful in "holy" Israel

Pop singer Lady Gaga has announced that she will curb down her scandalous ways as a mark of respect while performing in the Jewish country of Israel.

The `Poker Face` hitmaker, who is famous for her outrageous outfits and equally scandalous stage acts, has vowed to be respectful while in Israel and can`t wait to see "sacred and holy" Jerusalem, reported Contactmusic.

The 23-year-old blonde said that her visit to the holy city will be "an emotional and spiritual experience".

However, the singer, who plans to swim in the DeadSea, has admitted that she won`t be able to curb all her wild behaviour and has confessed she might "get drunk in Jerusalem".

Lady Gaga, who will perform the last show of her `Fame Ball` tour in Tel Aviv tomorrow, is not the first star ordered to tone down their image during a visit to a religiouscountry.

Pop singer Beyonce Knowles cancelled her concert in Malaysia in October 2007 after she was told to follow the Muslim country`s strict dress code.

Gwen Stefani was also told to cover up during her Malaysian concert in August 2007. The flamboyant star wore sober outfits but called it a "major sacrifice".

Madonna was warned about her raunchy stage show for her concert in Russia`s St. Petersburg earlier this month.
