`Harry Potter` star Daniel Radcliffe has withdrawn himself from the party circuit, as he wants to distance himself from lesser known celebrities.
"I don`t get involved with drinking or partying any more. I hate celebrity culture but I`m unavoidably a part of it," Contactmusic quoted the star as saying.
The 20-year-old actor admits he enjoys partying at A-list events in London, but doesn`t like being mixed up with reality TV stars and wannabes while he is out.
Radcliffe is determined to maintain a distance between his star status and low profile celebrities who have made a name without any discernible talent, according to the actor.
"There are people who happen to be celebrities as a by-product of what they do. (But there are others who) don`t want to work, have no interests, no passions, nothing and yet seem to be held up on pedestals. I don`t think they should be trying to push themselves onto us. It does annoy me, but of course, I`m part of it," Radcliffe said.
Radcliffe catapulted to global fame with the title role in the `Harry Potter` series and will also be seen in the concluding film called `Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows`.
