Demi Moore denies having plastic surgery

Actress Demi Moore has angrily denied reports that she got surgery done on her face and says "the scalpel won`t make you happy".

According to a news website, the 47-year old actress allegedly spent more than $325,120 for work on her face and body.

"It`s completely false - I`ve never had it done. I would never judge those who have - if it`s the best thing for them then I don`t see a problem. But I don`t like the idea of having an operation to hold up the ageing process. It`s a way to combat your neurosis. The scalpel won`t make you happy," she said while speaking to a French magazine.

"For now, I prefer to be a beautiful woman of my age than try desperately to look 30."

Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox to compete for Barbarella role

In what could be the greatest showdown ever for the ultimate sex symbol tag, hotties Angelina Jolie and Megan Fox will audition for the role of Barbarella in a remake of the 1968 sci-fi classic of the same title, it has emerged.

“This will be the first time Angie and Megan have ever faced off for the same role,” the Daily Star quoted a studio insider as saying.

The source added: “Whoever gets the part will become the absolute number one Hollywood sex symbol on the planet.”

The original film had turned Jane Fonda into an international sex symbol overnight.

Now, whoever grabs the role will see herself as latex-suited blonde, and thigh-high-booted mercenary of the future.

Both Jolie and Fox have spoken about being compared to each other in the past.

Jolie once said: “If it’s a comparison of looks, she can be the most beautiful but I have so much more going on.”

Deepika Padukone has taken onto a whole new thing besides acting. The stunner is hunting for some serious talent these days. According to reports, the actress is on a look out for talented people across various fields, who do not have the resources to make it big to fund and support them.

Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor will soon be setting the silver screen on fire with Sajid Nadidawala’s ‘Anjana Anjani’, which will bring the duo together for the first time.According to reports, the flick will go on floors in November with the crew flying to San Francisco on a 45-day schedule. The crew will cover Los Angeles and New York besides shooting a major part of the movie in San Francisco. The film is expected to be wrapped up by January 2010.

The movie, to be directed by Siddharth Anand, is said to have derived its title from ‘Anjana Anjani’, a popular song from Mani Ratnam’s ‘Yuva’ that had featured Kareena and Vivek Oberoi.

Katrina Kaif is adored by one and all for her gorgeousness but the latest buzz suggests that the glam-doll has undergone a lip surgery to make them fuller.

A source says, "Katrina has always wanted shapelier lips. She recently returned from a long holiday — almost three weeks. During her trip to the USA for the Independence Day parade in Houston and Chicago, everyone first noticed the marked change in her appearance. Her lips were still puffy at the time, but now the swelling has vanished."

However, refuting all such claims, Katrina said, "It`s not true. I have not had any work done on my lips and to say that is ridiculous."

Also, a source close to Katrina said, "She can`t afford to take any medication right now as she`s on a very strong medication for her skin. The medicine is so strong that Katrina can`t take any other medicine during this time.”

The source also mentioned that it is nothing but the medication that gives rise to swollen, dry and chapped lips, which apparently gives the impression as if she has done something to her lips.

Sonam Kapoor sheds designer wear for KJo’s ‘I Hate Love Stories’

Sonam Kapoor is facing a dilemma these days, but what exactly is it that’s troubling her? Well, the actress, who is known to have a penchant for expensive designer wears, has been ordered by Karan Johar to get rid of her designer gowns and get back to the basics- tees and denims, for the actress is starring in his new film ‘I Hate Love Stories’.

According to reports, the film in question has Imran Khan along with Sonam Kapoor and will be directed by Puneet Malhotra.

“While Imran has a boyish image, Sonam has an international designer gownwali image. While it may have worked for her to get plush endorsement campaigns with international brands, she comes across too hip for the Indian masses. Brit media personality Kerry Katona has been blacklisted by drug dealers, as they think she is too poor to pay them.Many of the dealers have claimed that Katona, 28, still owes them from previous deals, and some have even changed their phone numbers to stop being contacted by her.

On August 30, an underworld source said that Katona would struggle to get drugs even if she wanted them.

“She was such a good customer that she got things on tick,” the Daily Star quoted the source as saying.

“But most of the dealers have turned their backs on her. Some have changed their numbers so she can’t ring.”

“She’s so skint that she still owes some of them money.

“Nobody is looking for the money back though, they realise her problems are bigger than theirs,” the source added.

Former model Katie Price, aka Jordan, is said to have ruined her kids’ holiday with her estranged hubby Peter Andre, after she leaked the location on her Twitter page.

Andre, 36, was due to fly out to a secret resort on the Italian island of Sardinia with Harvey, 7, Junior, 4, and two-year-old Princess Tiaamii on September 1, but had to cancel after Jordan, 31, revealed the location.

“Heard Pete doing shoot with the kids in sardina (sic) an going Tues dont know why he is doing a shoot he has set up every other one in papers sad!” the Daily Star quoted her as having written on her Twitter page.

But pals of Andre have insisted that he had no intention of using his children in photo opportunities.

Pakistani actress Meera denies being married

Pakistani actress Meera has denied being married to Attiqur Rehman.Defence-A Police Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Abid Rasheed had alleged that he had seen the marriage certificate that showed that the wedding was solemnised on September 2, 2007.

The SHO said that the marriage was registered with the local union council, and the nikah khawan in Makkah Colony also confirmed the nuptials, reports the Daily Times.

The allegation emerged after Meera’s mother shifted antique furniture belonging to Attiqur, who accused her of secretly shifting the items without his knowledge.

Attiqur also claimed being beaten by his father-in-law, mother-in-law, and their other son-in-law Raheel.

Cops were subsequently called in and five men of each party were taken into custody.

Meera, however, has slammed these claims, saying that her association with Attique was restricted to business dealings.

She further accused Attiqur of blackmailing her.

She even alleged that Attique recently attacked her house with the intention of killing her, but she was not there at the time.

Meera seeks protection after house attack

Pakistani actress Meera is seeking protection from the Punjab Government, following a recent “terrorists” attack on her house.The star said that she was under constant threat from a special group of terrorists under the ringleader namely Attiqur Rehman, her former business partner.

“The terrorists attacked my house aiming to abduct and kill me,” the Nation quoted her saying at her DHA residence.

Meera revealed that she had been assured of adequate security by Punjab Governor Salman Taseer, but she had turned to the Punjab Chief Minister for protection.

She alleged that Attiqur, rumoured to be her husband, began threatening her after she withdrew from the business.

Goody’s grave lies lonely and forgotten as Tweed continues to party

Jade Goody’s grave is said to be lying “lonely and forgotten” while her husband Jack Tweed has been snapped continuing his hard-party lifestyle.

The reality TV star’s final resting place was allegedly left untended, while the 22-year-old widower was photographed showing off his wedding band as he groped a girl pal’s breast at the recent V Festival.

“It’s not even been six months since she died but Jack is out behaving like a playboy while Jade’s grave lies untended. He was even caught groping one girl’s breast while wearing his wedding ring,” a news daily quoted Goody’s pal as saying.

The source added: “It’s such a shame to see Jack out living it up while Jade’s grave looks lonely and forgotten. Apart from a few items, including a plaque from her grandparents, a toy car on the cross from her two sons and some flowers, the grave looks really barren.”

Aamir Khan, who is spending time with wife Kiran Rao after her miscarriage last month, says his much-awaited `3 Idiots` will hit the screens in December.

"Vinod (Vidhu Vinod Chopra) and Raju (Raj Kumar Hirani) tell me that the post production on `3 Idiots` is progressing well - so by the time I get back, the cut (final product) will be ready. Which means I can confirm to all those of you who have been repeatedly asking... yes, `3 Idiots` will be releasing on Christmas this year. He didn`t reveal his whereabouts, but informed, "Kiran and I are away from home, in one very quiet spot, just lying in and resting. Reading, going for walks, watching films."

The actor says he is utilising his time to catch up on a few films and books - something that he hasn`t been able to do thanks to his chock-a-block schedules.

"There are so many films to see, and books to read. One life time is not enough. Books, I read, but films I never get down to seeing.

"Strange, since, I love cinema so much. It`s not as if I don`t enjoying watching films. I really do, in fact when I watch a film I forget to blink and my eyes start hurting after a while. But for someone who is so steeped in films I have watched pathetically few films in all these years," he said.

Aamir is glad that he has finally managed to watch 1994 American film "The Shawshank Redemption", which was recommended to him by many.

"Just saw `(The) Shawshank Redemption`. Had heard so much about this film. It seems to be on a lot of ? must see` lists. Really enjoyed it," he added.

I was inadequate for politics, says Amitabh Bachchan

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who was an MP for a brief period in the 1980s, says he discontinued his association with politics because he felt he was "inadequate for the job"."Many ask me why I joined politics and then why I left it. I joined it because I was asked to and left because I was inadequate for the job," Bachchan posted on his blog.

The sexagenarian came into politics at the behest of good friend and former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi. He contested the Lok Sabha election from his native Allahabad in 1984. Though he won by a huge majority, Bachchan failed to make his mark as a politician.

He says it`s a tough job to be a politician and admires those who have managed to stay put in it.

"Politics is a complicated world - a world where if you are unable to play the game, you would remain a novice and a stranger eternally. I admire those who have remained in it for long years. Admire the guile with which they steer their boats everyday, every minute. The ease with which they make associations and break them, reject foes and months later embrace them as dearest friends. It is a tough job.

"A job that I would never be able to do. I would never recommend it to anyone. But I do know that those that pursue this line, do so with utmost dedication and passion. Their dedication and passion is admirable," he said.

Bachchan is currently in Singapore with his politician friend Amar Singh. The Samajwadi Party leader had undergone a kidney transplant there recently.

Canadian rap sensation Drake, who has collaborated with R&B singer Rihanna, has laughed off rumours of romancing the `Umbrella` hitmaker.The romance rumours started after Drake and Rihanna were spotted spending time with each other soon after her split from Chris Brown but the rapper insists that their relationship is strictly professional.

The 22-year-old rapper, real name Aubrey Drake Gramham, says he has been spending time with Rihanna to convince her to record a duet for his next album, Contactmusic reported.

"We`re just really good friends. We have great conversations about music, and we`re trying to figure out the perfect song we can collaborate on for my album," he said.

"I`ve only worked with one other female before (Mary J Blige). I hope that Rihanna is onboard, and I`m also looking to work with Sade," he added.

George Clooney may soon walk down the aisle with his Italian girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis.

According to sources, the actor has asked his lover to move into his main home Studio City pad in LA.

“George has really fallen for Eli and wants her back with him in LA on a permanent basis,” the Daily Express quoted a source as saying.

The insider added: “It’s obviously a big step, particularly as George has been such a free spirit for so long. But it seems she really could be the one for him. Whether she goes along with the idea remains to be seen.”

Lohan in trouble over borrowed lost jewellery

Singer-actress Lindsay Lohan could face legal action after claims that she lost $1.9 million worth of borrowed jewels.

The 23-year-old was loaned the bling by swanky Beverly Hills store XIV Karats more than two months ago. But when bosses asked her to return the gems, she admitted that they had been nicked, according to US reports.

Lohan`s Hollywood Hills home was burgled last weekend, with thieves making off with a safe as well as handbags, photos and videos, reports thesun.co.uk.

"Lindsay claimed they had been stolen. They disappeared. XIV are not happy about it. The jewels were in Lindsay`s care and they were only on loan. If something is not resolved soon, there will be legal action taken," a source told a US website.

But Lohan`s representative denied the report.

This is not the first time that Lohan has lost expensive jewellery. In June, Christian Dior jewels worth $406,400 vanished at a London photoshoot with Lohan.

Scottish actor Gerard Butler is so harried by the paparazzi following him that he has taken to playing a cat and mouse game with them.

Butler, 39, has become a well-known star, and with rumours of a romance with actress Jennifer Aniston, he has become the hot target for celebrity photographers.

But the actor has revealed that he is not happy with the attention he is getting, especially because the photographers try to catch him in compromising positions.

Madonna will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Opposition Leader Tzipi Livni during her stay in the country for her concerts, say reports.

The Queen of Pop, who has two gigs lined up at Tel Aviv`s Park Hayarkon, is said to be set to meet Livni at a restaurant, and Netanyahu at the Prime Minister`s Office in Jerusalem.

While the singer`s schedule has been prevented from being made public, reports of her meetings with the politicians found their way to the media, reports the Jerusalem Post.

Miss Universe rigged in Venezuela`s favour: Former Miss Brazil

Former Miss Brazil Adalgisa Colombo has said that this year`s Miss Universe pageant, which was won by Miss Venezuela Stefania Fernandez, was "rigged" in favour of Venezuela that has taken the last two titles.

"It was rigged. The contest was very dumb, very commercial, with the special interests of (pageant co-owner) Donald Trump, who must have interests in Venezuela," Colombo told the O Globo newspaper`s online edition.

Colombo, who was Miss Brazil 1958, said her country`s representative this year, Larissa Costa, was one of the favourites and should have been one of the 10 semifinalists, but she did not even make the final 15.

The former beauty queen said her favourite contestant in this year`s pageant was Miss Dominican Republic Ada Aimee de la Cruz, who made it to the final three.

The Miss Universe contest ended August 23 in Nassau, Bahamas.

Dr Steven Hoefflin, a friend of the singer, revealed the latest twist after speaking to medics involved in Jackson’s case.

“They say he had lividity, which means his blood had already sunk to the back of his body. This indicates Michael’s heart had stopped hours earlier,” the Mirror quoted him as saying.

It is also believed that the late King of Pop’s dead body was then moved to his bedroom so that the police would think that he killed himself with a fatal dose of the drug Propofol.

According to reports, experts at the coroner’s office believe that Jackson was moved after his heart attack, as they discovered disruptions in the pattern of “livor mortis” on his body.

Purple marks on his body show where blood has settled in a lifeless body, which usually takes at least five hours to become apparent.

Forensic pathologist Dr Cyril Wecht, not involved in the Jackson case, said: “If someone carried the body from one room to another, the livor would be ‘broken’ where contact with the body was made. If one person held his ankles and the other held him under his arms, there would be corresponding white interruptions of livor mortis in those spots.”

Retired FBI special agent Ted Gunderson, who has independently monitored the case, said that the new evidence pointed to a “massive cover-up” by Dr Conrad Murray, the late King of Pop’s personal doctor.

It may be recalled that the coroner has ruled that the ‘Thriller’ hit-maker was a victim of homicide after the strong sedative caused his cardiac arrest, and that investigators are probing whether Dr Murray had any role in his death.

Gunderson asked: “Did Murray try to fool people into thinking Jackson died on the way to hospital in the hope an autopsy could be avoided? If so, it didn’t work, which is why he had to confess to administering Propofol.”

Meanwhile, Murray, 56, has denied mistreating Jackson.

MJ honoured with Walk of Fame star in Las Vegas

Michael Jackson has been honoured with a star on the Palms Casino`s Walk of Fame in Las Vegas.

The singer received the tribute on what would have been his 51st birthday on August 29.

His father Joseph took the place of the King of Pop in accepting the honour.

"I wish he was here to see this take place," Contactmusic quoted Joseph as saying.

Jackson died from a cardiac arrest at his Los Angeles mansion on June 25.

Amy Winehouse takes tests to prove she is clean of drugs

English singer Amy Winehouse is trying to clear herself of all speculation about her drug usage by taking weekly blood tests.

The `Rehab` singer wants to prove to record bosses that she is not back into substance abuse by taking the tests, reported Mirror online.

"Amy`s passed all the tests so far with flying colours. And she may do some dates in America with the last album before she releases her new one," said a source.

Label executives don`t want anything to wreck plans for the 25-year-old star to do a delayed tour of America with her `Back To Black` album.

Madonna tours Jewish holy sites in Jerusalem

The Material Girl has opened a visit to the Holy Land with a spiritual touch.

Madonna headed to Jerusalem`s Old City late Sunday where she toured an ancient tunnel near the Western Wall — the holiest site where Jews can pray.

The 50-year-old pop star arrived in a black Mercedes van and was escorted into the tunnel by police. She made no comment to reporters and was whisked away about a half hour later.

Madonna isn`t Jewish, but she`s a follower of Jewish mysticism and has even taken the Hebrew name Esther.

She arrived early Sunday for a pair of concerts this week. It will be her first performance in Israel since 1993, though she came on private pilgrimages in 2004 and 2007.

Madonna is also set to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday.

According to our source, Aadesh is busy recording an album of peace to pay homage to the victims and has roped in Amitabh Bachchan to do the voice-over for it.

Aadesh says, “No one else can do justice to this album. Only Amitji can serve as the perfect common thread to all the national and international artistes who are coming together for my album.”

The project will bring together living legend Amitabh Bachchan and lyricist Javed Akhtar after a gap of nearly two decades.
